((Bridge, Deck 1))

Niac (As Morgan):....naugh….Parrises Squares Practice!  I’ll…get in the shuttle mom….overslept….weirdest dream…

He looked around in confusion, slowly trying to get his mind to process the fairly impossible things he was seeing.  He had a clear and distinct memory of being in Engineering, talking to the Chief with the shimmering eyes.  But he was on the Bridge again, standing an unfamiliar station, looks of shock and confusion spreading on the faces of everyone around him.  He prodded his abdomen to silence the voices in his skull but found the gentle jab of an wholly feminine finger had no impact on his problem.  He even reached for Niac within his mind, seeking comfort or assurance or simply an explanation for what the hell was happening from the hateful slug, but there was no answer.

The voices around him intensified, both in his ears and in his mind, and he realized he was perceiving more than just sound and language, but fragments of ideas and colored shades of emotion.  Hues of confusion and panic were everywhere around him and it seemed the harder he tried to push them out, the more clearly he could perceive their nuances.  He looked down, trying to focus on his hands and body, desperate to anchor himself back to reality against the onslaught of perceptions, and found nothing familiar.

One thing alone was now sure in his mind…he hadn’t started the day with a pair of breasts.  That thought coupled with the impossible reality it represented forced an absurd, half insane giggle from Karrod’s lips.  Some detached part of his mind that wasn’t suffering from shock noted it was not in any way his voice, far more musical and airy than his natural deep timber.  Years of Starfleet training finally kicked in, pushing past the shock and the confusion, and a hand reflexively went to a combadge.

Niac (As Morgan):...Medical…emergency…on the…here…send...all the doctors…think I’m gonna…pass out now….

Karrod staggered back from the console, wishin he could remember Rostil’s favorite expletive in this bedamned moment.  Another voice started echoing inside his skull, somehow louder and sharper, and through gritted teeth he realized someone was actually speaking aloud.

MacKenzie (as Tiberius): Lieutenant Silveira, we have a problem…

Silveira: Response

She cocked her head.

MacKenzie (as Tiberius): Well, if you’re not Silveira, then who are you?

Silveira: Response

MacKenzie (as Tiberius): Contrary to what you see in front of you, it’s Commander MacKenzie… trapped in Nurse Tiberius’s body. And we appear to have a really big problem on our hands…

Silveira: Response

Karrod pressed his surprisingly dainty fists to his temples and tried to control his breathing against the onslaught.

Niac (as Morgan): I don’t care who anybody is but if you don’t stop yelling I’m getting in an escape pod.

Any: Responses

Niac (as Morgan):  No it’s…it’s your new ops officer Karrod…but I seem to have…misplaced the rest of me.

Any: Responses

((Deck 12, Main Engineering))

There had never before been such a successful moment of mind-clearing solitude ever that she had experienced. Her mind went from the ill-timed multitude of symphonies, all played at various pitches, in various keys, at increasingly frenzied speeds to very nearly silent. Everything faded away, save the darkness, and a soft, almost pillowy feeling of rest seemed to wrap her up. And then when she came to, and her eyes fluttered open, she found herself feeling better. The only voices she could hear were those of a few very close by, and they didn’t seem at all that frenzied. Adriana took a deep breath and let it out as she opened her eyes and moved to stretch, but stopped mid-way, realizing two things.

First, she wasn’t at her station, and second, a strange soreness in her abdomen stopped her from reaching too far. Her hand moved to the area, as she thought about how she must have fallen harder than she originally thought when she had been thrown from her seat, when she noticed her hand. The soreness took a backseat to the sudden realization that her hand did not at all look like her hand. Shaking her head, she looked up and around her.

She was in engineering.

A strange feeling on her face caused her to subconsciously reach for it, only to feel just how much she was not herself. The feeling of facial hair made her freeze far faster than the sight of the hand that was not hers, and for the first time since she had opened her eyes, she rushed to find some kind of reflective surface to look into. A nearby panel fit the bill and in the darkness of it, she found herself staring back at eyes that were definitely not hers, and a face that was equally so. A deep frown settled on the man’s features that were staring back at her, his Trill spots barely visible running down the side of his face in the dark reflection. It was his eyes, though, that were most unsettling. Gone were the inky blackness of the eyes she was not only used to, but which she found herself fond of, and in their place were ones that splashed color where the infinite blackness should have been. Adri frowned even deeper.

Morgan (as Niac): Well this is a problem.

She was speaking to no one in particular and was considering the issues as some voices began to poke through her thoughts oO Who the hell are you?!  Where’s Karrod?! Intruder Alert! I don’t want to die again!  Oh isn’t this interesting…Well the Commission promised us new experiences…Maybe this one can appreciate my cooking…Oo, one quite adamant about looking into this. There was a demand for science, among other requests, and one calling doom and gloom and claiming the end of all things, all of which Adriana wasn’t sure how to respond to. Her immediate thoughts told her she shouldn’t, that she was reaching into the minds of others without consent, and yet, these voices seemed to be talking directly to her. It was far from normal, bordering on deeply unsettling, but not quite so much as the strange feeling of this thing on her face.

Adriana poked at the hairy thing that seemed like an animal, or some kind of pet, having taken up residence on the man’s face, wondering why and how he could stand it. That, and all of the weirdness of having to move a body that just didn’t feel normal was overwhelming. Things didn’t move like she was used to, and motions that used to be natural, hurt in strange ways. It was certainly going to be that much more difficult in finding answers if she couldn’t focus on the problem and had to relearn how to walk, move, and work all over again…

Yet, something had to be done. And so she started to make her way to the bridge. Hopefully no one would stop her between here and there, and hopefully the thing on her face would stop being quite so annoying too.

Of course that was too much to ask. Nearly falling over the librarian in her attempts to make the body she found herself in work the way she wanted it to, it was no surprise that there was confusion there too.

Morgan (as Niac): Sorry!

Gnaxac (as Kettleworth): Response?

Blinking in a very un-Niac manner, Adriana leaned the head she was riding around in to the side.

Morgan (as Niac): You too? Hmm. Well, I’m off to the bridge to try to figure something out.

Gnaxac (as Kettleworth): Response?
