Gott:  So, do you love it or do you LOVE it?  Come on, you can admit it to me, I'm a professional.

Gott was beaming with pride at the transformed space and Doctor Genk, clearly overawed by the splendor of it all, could barely muster a response.

Adea: Was that it?

Jolara:  Response

Gott stabbed at his padd with a bony finger and the double doors to the office parted.  Even here his attention to detail had paid off, as the plebian 'swoosh' of the doors had been aurally enhanced.  Now each time the doors opened and closed it sounded like a small mountain of latinum strips had just been deposited in some lucky persons purse.  That lucky person was, of course, Gott himself, but he felt no need to point that out.

Gott:  Well you haven't even seen the best part yet...the counseling suites themselves have been completely redone to maximize their therapeutic benefits for both patients and the staff.  Come come but take your shoes off....don't want you tracking...boot...on the new carpeting.

Genkos leaned down to under the shoe on his prosthetic leg, then paused.

Adea: Are you sure? I don’t want to leak prosthetic fluid on it either…

Gott's face screwed up like he'd just eaten an undergrown tubegrub.

Gott:  Prosthetic?!  What, Starfleet pays you so badly you couldn't even afford a nice synthetic limb?  No wonder you're wobbling around here like a miscalibrated cargo loader.  Remind me to send you my cousin Schlim's information.  He has the best deals on limbs this side of of the quadrant.  He might even be able to do something about that hair! Remember - 'Lose a Limb?  Just call Schlim!'

Jolara:  Response

Grinning, Genkos slipped his shoe back on, pantomimically flicking some “prosthetic fluid” off his fingers. He winked at Rune behind Gott’s back

Adea: Ew, gross.

Gott studiously ignored the man as his feet were caressed by the newly installed organic-reactive carpet he'd had shuttled in.  Crated by the finest bioweavers he could find and subsequentially expense back to the Federation, the material was as soft as Catarian fur and warm to the touch.  It writhed under his footfalls, gently massaging his every step.  It made Gott feel like he was walking on a living carpet of trained felines.  But it was far from the centerpiece of his newly christened offices.  That was against the far wall under a heavy silken cover.  Barely acknowledging his colleagues as he luxuriated in the carpets embrace, Gott spread his arms and invited them to take it all in.

Gott:  I didn't have much to work with and it's far from ideal but I think the crew will really be able to relax and open up here.

Gott clapped his hands together twice and the lighting in the room dimmed as a low mist started flowing in from the edges of the floor.

Gott:  Mirrored ceiling, of course, and subdued lighting all around to enhance the ambiance.  The mist will increase the overall humidity in here quite a bit, not only enhancing relaxation but also the respiratory health of your crew.  It's so dry on this ship I feel like I'm living with Vulcans!

Adea/Jolara:  Response

Gott:  Ah yes, the carpet is just a little bit alive so it does hiss occasionally if you step down too hard.  I did tell you to leave your shoes outside didn't I?  Anyway, here's the thing that really ties the room together I think.

With a dramatic flourish Gott walked across the office and yanked down the sheet.  It snagged on an edge and tore, but after cursing at it loudly and yanking several times it came free, exposing the meter tall latinum plated bust of the Blessed Exchequer, shining brightly under a perfectly positioned accent light.  The mandatory donation box underneath was, by comparison, respectfully understated and only half a meter tall.

Gott:  If this doesn't inspire your crew towards significantly improved ROI I don't know what will!

Adea/Jolara:  Response

Gott:  So who would like the honor of being the first to make a donation to the Blessed Exchequer.  Don't worry, I'll provide a receipt - they are tax deductible of course.

Adea/Jolara:  Response
