Vitor smiled proudly. His eyes glowed as he replied to Mary.

Silveira: Jonathan. Jonathan Silveira M’Gia. He had some medical issues in his early years. Wasn’t easy but we got the best medical attention. He has fully recovered and is the cutest chubbiest Andorian you will ever find. ::Vitor raised his finger and waved it around.:: Thera and I were part of the launching crew of the Excalibur. We had only recently found out about Jonathan when we boarded.

Daniel: It’s clear that Jonathan has a place right in the middle of your heart, Sil. And I am honored that you would give even a little of that to Nicholas, too.

He nodded to Mary. Someone once told him that the only thing bigger than his ego was his heart. Now that life’s lesson had shorten his ego to almost proper size, Vitor still let his heart open. And let it fill like the proverbial bottle that was never emptied.

There was certainly room there for Nicholas, as Mary already had her spot.
Vitor saw a lot of himself in her.

Silveira: The honor and pleasure is all mine.

There was a moment of silence before Mary spoke again.

Daniel: Sil, I just wanted to say—— ::beat:: Well, I might not see you for a while. And if that’s the case, I wouldn’t want us to part without telling you thank you. Thank you for rescuing me. Thank you for showing me that I can write the story of my future myself. Thank you for your friendship.

Vitor shook his head and waved his hands.

Silveira: There’s no need for that. We have a lot in common, and in a way your journey helped mine. I am the one who is thankful for meeting you

Daniel: Would it be inappropriate to ask for a handshake before we go? Or a friendly hug?

Vitor smiled and stood up, opening his arms.

Silveira: Not at all.

He gave Mary a strong hug and winked as he bid her farewell.
As with all those friends that moved away, Vitor felt the pain of seeing her go.
But there was a nice koozie feeling, now that Mary had added Nicholas to his heart.

Vitor smiled sadly, there was that portuguese expression that he always thought was partially wrong. Out of sight, out of heart. For his romantic involvements he followed it to the letter.

But not for his friends. And even if they are away his feelings for them were safely stored in him. There was also another expression but that one he proved wrong more than once.
Don’t return to where you were once happy.

He looked at the Round Table and grinned.

oO Stupid expression. I wasn’t always happy here, but I am glad I got back to the Excal.Oo

Glancing over the window he walked slowly out.
