((Krindo Pandorn's Quarters - Deck 4 - USS Thor))
MacKenzie: Gentlemen! Good to see you both.
Pandorn: Welcome to my cave, Doctor. ::smiles::
Teller: Doc! Didn't realize you'd snuck aboard.
Geoff smiled, happy for the comradery. He'd been so busy since joining this command he'd rarely had a moment to actually sit down and shoot the proverbial breeze with someone.
MacKenzie: Well, I saw Geoff from down the hall – figured I’d check in on you both… see how Teller was feeling, and how you were enjoying your new post.
Pandorn: Same post, different department. ::grins:: I had Geoff's job once.
Teller: You want it back? ::Geoff winked:: I could use a few days off, come to think of it. Get you a red wig, the new guy probably won't even notice.
Pandorn: ::smiles:: It's all good. I have no hard feelings.
MacKenzie: ::gesturing to the guitar:: Do you play?
Pandorn: I was just telling Geoff that rock n roll is my favorite music. The more...harder type, but I'm not adverse to calmer music.
Teller: Remember the stuff Wil used to play all the time? You know, when you'd try to hide his Padd from him.
MacKenzie: ::to Geoff:: Do you play, too, or are you just a fan?
Teller: Oh just a fan, Doc. You're well aware of my musical inclinations. How about you, Doc - you find time to learn the andorian accordion at med school?
MacKenzie: I learned to play the oboe when I was younger and played in one of the youth orchestras in Boston, but it’s not quite the same style…
Pandorn: ::chuckles:: Not sure if the oboe lends itself well to rock n roll, but anything’s possible.
MacKenzie: Oh, I don’t know – I’m sure I’ve heard worse things.
Teller: Yeah, and I've probably sang two thirds of them. Speaking of, Krindo - you happen to be able to play a sea shanty on that thing?
Krindo smirked and wisely avoided the question.
Pandorn: You two finding your way around well enough? Can I replicate some coffee?
MacKenzie: ::holding up her hands:: None for me, thanks.
Teller: Thank you, no. As far as finding my way around, I'll definitely take you up on that once we get under way. As an engineer, I got to know all the little things about the last ship I served on - never realized just how much I'd miss that knowledge till I got aboard. But that's for tomorrow. Maybe we should think about getting a crew talent show together - be good to get folks socializing aboard, don't you think?
Pandorn: Well, last time I played to an audience, it was a wonky holodeck crowd which would have rioted if i hadn't. Seems music soothes even the holographic beast.
MacKenzie: ::smirking:: sounds like quite the event – we’ll have to recreate it sometime.
Teller: Hopefully with the safeties on and working, this time.
Pandorn: If I do, let it be a surprise. Really get a party going.
Geoff smiled and stood - he still had several thousand things to do.
Teller: Fair enough - we won't put up any posters before hand.
MacKenzie: I guess I know what we’re going to be doing next shore leave…
She winked at them.
MacKenzie: Alright, gentlemen. Duty calls. I’ll see you when we get underway…
Teller: Same for me, unfortunately, but it's good to know you two are settling in. If you don't hear from me in a few hours, consider dispatching search teams - I probably got lost looking for the bowling alley.
Geoff nodded to the both of them and turned, heading back into the hallway. He made it five steps before realizing he was heading in the wrong direction.
[End for Teller]
