Brell: (To Kells) I am looking forward to seeing the Thor in action, it will be my first time aboard a Vesta class as part of its crew.
While eating another of the hordevours he thought about his former postings. Of all starfleet ship classes he had served on it was the Intrepid that he knew most inside and out, with the Horizon class a close second. The latter was the USS Darwin-A that he had served on longest as a Chief Engineer getting familiar with everything the smart science vessel had to offer. When it came to his familiarity with the former it was different, his first command the USS Atlantis was Intrepid class. When it came to Thor his interest was one of a technically minded individual. The QSD had been an experimental thing when he first joined starfleet and now it was something most ships of the line came standard with.
Kells: Mine as well. (beat) And if you don't mind me asking, sir, who are you?

From Captain of the only starfleet ship in the Par’tha expanse to his time here on Til’ahn as Ambassador he had gotten used to people knowing who he was before meeting them. That had taken some getting used too, and apparently had had more than gotten used to it happening. It made him smile to introduce himself genuinely to his new commanding officer.
Brell: (Smirking) Currently I happen to be, Ambassador Brell, sir.
Kells: Ah, Captain! It's a pleasure to meet you. Your reputation precedes you -- I knew you served here as an ambassador recently. You're shipping out with us on Thor?
Brell: Yes, I’ll be your Mission and Operations Specialist, to ensure we don’t become lost in space on this trip.
Kells: (with a smile) We'll be very lucky to have you.
Brell: I am looking forward to a bit of adventure.

Soon enough the group found themselves moved towards the bar, where he was sure many would be eagerly getting another glass of whatever it was they were drinking in excess to their liking. Here he was pleased to see another Laudean dish on offering in bite sized form that he happily grabbed a few of; Guyver pastries. They were joined by a few more faces at the bar, both of whom he greeted with a warm nod.
Pandorn: ::smiles:: Evening everyone. Are we ready for the future?
Turner: :: smiling excitedly:: Yes, a new beginning. Have you met your new CO?
MacKenzie: Captain Kells, may I introduce the Thor’s Chief of Security, Commander Krindo Pandorn.
Kells: Delighted, Commander. I'm glad to know the Thor's crew will be under your capable watch.

Turner: HQ cared enough to send us the very best... Huh? where did I hear that before? :: grins:: If you all will excuse me, I see someone I need to speak to before they get lost in the crowd.
Kells: Of course, Admiral. Good to see you again, and I'll see you tomorrow.
Brell: Lyldra is here somewhere, and looking for you Toni, I hope to catch up later as well.

MacKenzie: So, boss – what’s the plan? Briefing with the senior staff in the morning?
Kells: (slightly mischievous) I shouldn't say, without the other department heads present...but, yes. I'll beam up to the Thor with Commander Teller and Lieutenant Garcia and then we'll be underway. Once we are, I want a senior staff meeting to discuss this (beat) unusual assignment.
It did speak to something going on and his interest was piqued, this meeting could not come soon enough.

Kells: They certainly are, but maybe this one even more than most. Starfleet saw fit to assign the Thor, after all.

Dar: Evening. :: she chuckled. :: apologies I didn't realise I was interrupting senior staff members.
Brell: Dar Elandra, back in Starfleet? It has been a long long time.
He had been a very different Bolian more than just physically the last time he had served with her. Then a young officer started off in security and quickly made Engineer, Vectorboarding around the island on off days, and learning how to box. That all seemed so long ago to him with his life now centered around family and duty first.
