((Krindo Pandorn's Quarters - Deck 4 - USS Thor))

((Time index - 70 hours later))

His personal items again were in boxes all around the quarters and Krindo mulled over whether to even unpack. Who knows, he might get moved again, making unpacking impractical. Sighing, be began to unpack setting all the knick knacks and pictures around the room with his table's center piece being a crystal statuette of a Laudean Lake Swan, a gift from Diona. Depending on the viewer's angle, the light seemed to change color, making the swan even more amazing. It will be a reminder of what could have been and at the same time, indicating change. It was appropriate for a Starfleet officer. But his pride and joy, his Fender Stratocaster sat guarding his sofa, begging to be played. Krindo was considering it, when the chime to his door rang.

Pandorn: Enter...

The door obediently swooshed open and in  entered Geoff who looked about the clutter. Krindo stood up and straightened his uniform.

Teller:  Sorry if I'm interrupting anything important, Krindo.  Just needed to stop staring at a Padd for a few minutes.

Pandorn: Nothing that important. Geoff. Just unpacking...again.

Geoff eyes settled first on the crystal swan, then located and fixed on the Fender. Like a kid in a candy store, Geoff ran a hand along the neck then the body, admiration beaming from his face.

Teller:  Mr. Pandorn, that is absolutely beautiful...::He gently tapped the side of the body and his eyes widened.:: This feels like real wood!

Pandorn:  I certainly hope so. ::grins:: Or a certain music shop in Minnesota is going to have a problem.

Teller:  Can you play?  Friend of mine loved this style of music - he even took a few of us to something called a rock concert on the holodeck once.  Really got me into it.

Pandorn: I play when I need to blow some steam off. Rock n roll is my thing too.

A chime and the door swooshed open again, with Addison walking in smiling.

MacKenzie: Gentlemen! Good to see you both.

Pandorn: Welcome to my cave, Doctor. ::smiles::

Teller: Doc!  Didn't realize you'd snuck aboard.

MacKenzie: Well, I saw Geoff from down the hall – figured I’d check in on you both… see how Teller was feeling, and how you were enjoying your new post.

Pandorn: Same post, different department. ::grins:: I had Geoff's job once.

Teller: You want it back?  ::Geoff winked:: I could use a few days off, come to think of it.  Get you a red wig, the new guy probably won't even notice.

Pandorn: ::smiles:: Nah...you can keep it. The red wig will itch like crazy.

MacKenzie: ::gesturing to the guitar:: Do you play?

Pandorn: I was just telling Geoff that rock n roll is my favorite music. The more...harder type, but I'm not adverse to calmer music.

Teller: Remember the stuff Wil used to play all the time?  You know, when you'd try to hide his Padd from him.

MacKenzie: ::to Geoff:: Do you play, too, or are you just a fan?

Teller: Oh just a fan, Doc.  You're well aware of my musical inclinations.  How about you, Doc - you find time to learn the andorian accordion at med school?

MacKenzie: I learned to play the oboe when I was younger and played in one of the youth orchestras in Boston, but it’s not quite the same style…

Pandorn: ::chuckles:: Not sure if the oboe lends itself well to rock n roll, but anything’s possible.

MacKenzie: Oh, I don’t know – I’m sure I’ve heard worse things.

Teller: Yeah, and I've probably sang two thirds of them.  Speaking of, Krindo - you happen to be able to play a sea shanty on that thing?

Krindo smirked and wisely avoided the question.

Pandorn: You two finding your way around well enough? Can I replicate some coffee?

MacKenzie: ::holding up her hands:: None for me, thanks.

Teller: Thank you, no.  As far as finding my way around, I'll definitely take you up on that once we get under way.  As an engineer, I got to know all the little things about the last ship I served on - never realized just how much I'd miss that knowledge till I got aboard.  But that's for tomorrow.  Maybe we should think about getting a crew talent show together - be good to get folks socializing aboard, don't you think?

Pandorn: Well, last time I played to an audience, it was a wonky holodeck crowd which would have rioted if i hadn't. Seems music soothes even the holographic beast.

MacKenzie: ::smirking:: sounds like quite the event – we’ll have to recreate it sometime.

Teller: Hopefully with the safeties on and working, this time.

Pandorn: If I do, let it be a surprise. Really get a party going.

Geoff smiled and stood - he still had several thousand things to do.

Teller: Fair enough - we won't put up any posters beforehand.

MacKenzie: I guess I know what we’re going to be doing next shore leave…

She winked at them.

MacKenzie: Alright, gentlemen. Duty calls. I’ll see you when we get underway…

Teller:  Same for me, unfortunately, but it's good to know you two are settling in.  If you don't hear from me in a few hours, consider dispatching search teams - I probably got lost looking for the bowling alley.

Krindo chuckled and nodded to the both of them and returned to unpacking. He needed to find his tux before the final party planet side.

((End scene for Pandorn))
