((Main Sickbay, Deck Four, USS Eagle-A))
Sickbay was bustling with life, as Sickbays were wont to do, full of various doctors and nurses and at least a few patients who had perhaps partied a little too hard on the beaches during shore leave. Gnai was relatively certain that human skin wasn’t supposed to turn that bright of a shade… or leave the impression of permanent sunglasses on the human’s face.
Technically, that did fulfill the “you are going to sickbay now” requirement. Genkos hadn’t specified that it had to stay in Sickbay for an extended period of time… It made a slight turn to leave, presuming that it wouldn’t get away with it, but willing to try just once, on the off-chance that it did work… which was swiftly stopped by the captain.
Gnai: ~ … Aye, sir. I ::singular:: will get ::airquotes with the suit’s fingers:: checked-up on. ~
Adea: Ah, Lieutenant Letek - our friend here is due a check up - will you do the honours?
Letek: Captain. Lieutenant Gnai. Of course. ::Pointing to one of the biobeds:: Biobed 3 is currently available.
The group walked to the indicated bed, and Gnai couldn’t help but notice that Cpt. Adea was still with them. It wasn’t as if Gnai was going to be undignified and run away now, he really wasn’t needed any further.
Gnai: ::sitting with the suit on the biobed:: Thank you, sir. ::short pause, then turning to Adea:: Are you… going to stay?
Were there not more important things to do than to watch Gnai suffer the slings and arrows of being in Sickbay?
Adea: Oh I’ll stay. ::he gave Gnai a wicked grin:: You can take the doctor out of sickbay after all…
Absolutely stellar. Grand. Amazing. Fantastic. Just what Gnai wanted. It deflated, just slightly in the tank.
Letek: It’s rather… unusual for an outsider to be present during a medical examination. However, if Lieutenant Gnai has no objection, I'm happy to proceed in your presence.
There wasn’t much of a choice.
Gnai: ::defeated:: He can stay.
Adea: Response
Letek: Maybe it would be helpful if you were here. I know the basics, but beyond that, I’m not familiar with Lieutenant Gnai’s species. Perhaps you could look over my shoulder and assist me if necessary?
Adea: Response
Hopefully Cpt. Adea’s previous experience would make this slightly less horrible, but Gnai doubted it.
Gnai: There should be plenty of information on Galadoran physiology in Starfleet’s records…
It would know, first hand, about the extent of the ‘fleet’s medical data on its species… There had been plenty of scans and tests as went through the Academy, and it wasn’t going to say that it was pointless, far from it, to have an extensive baseline… but it had found the whole process to be embarrassing and stressful and exactly the reason it liked being in Sickbay approximately never.
Letek/Adea: Response
Gnai: This is fine, seriously. If this wasn’t fine, this would have come here already.
During its leave, it had met with various medical and counseling officers briefly, and had discussed ways of making sure it wasn’t overworking or overstressing itself out. Included in that was a list of symptoms that upon noticing, it had promised to go straight to Sickbay… but it hadn’t noticed any of them yet! It was fine!
Letek/Adea: Response
Gnai: The mission was… hectic, yes, but the suit took the brunt of it. And since then, it’s been a calm leave.
