((Makeshift Triage Centre, The USS Eagle Outpost))
While Severan was grateful that something more was being done than scavenging off the remnants of their escape pods, Adea’s answer hadn’t been the most informative. While he wasn’t expecting an ETA, more detail on what people were being sent out to collect would be useful, if only to help manage their dwindling medical supplies.
Thalor: Supplies are getting low, but we hve not yet needed to begin rationing them.
Adea: I’d like to keep off rationing for as long as possible.
Thalor: While I can do my best there is only so much I can do if we are not able to gain access to a new source of supplies.
Eventually they would run out even if he did not include potential injuries and illnesses. They did not have the equipment and supplies to heal the medical center’s current residents, therefore they would remain a drain on resources until they ran out.
Adea: I’ve sent a team to the Proust - there’s a huge chunk not hugely far from here. With any luck they’ll find a replicator of some kind.
Thalor: ::Unknowingly matching Adea’s thoughts:: If they are unable to find a way to power it then all it will be good for is a large paperweight.
Adea: Response
Thalor: Lieutenant Letek does know what we are most in need of so hopefully luck will be on our side and we will not need to ration supplies or figure out how to power replicators in this place..
Adea: Response
Thalor: ::Dryly:: They neglected that part of my training much to my detriment. :: He shook his head and scoffed.:: In fact I do not think my professors had ever conceived having to operate in circumstances such as this, nor the wrecked sickbay I was left to deal with on the Proust.
It had been quite the opposite in fact. When he’d been a shiny eyed medical student he’d been sold on clean and state of the art hospitals and operating rooms where he would be working on cybernetic and biological enhancements to his patients forms, bringing them one step closer to transcending mortality as Cantavi had done.
And then the borg came, derailing everything.
