Lt. Cmdr. Drex - What happens on Bolarus not always stays on Bolarus

The XO’s office was quieter than usual, the lights dimmed just enough to make it clear this was not the hour Drex normally spent here. But tonight, or whatever passed for night at that hour, trips to Bolarus would have to wait.
On the desk, a teleport report lay open beside the Starfleet code. Drex was reading it. And then reading it again. And then again. With little more conviction each time.
Leaning back against the chair, a steaming mug in his hand, he sipped slowly from a Denobulan drink, karellan, its aroma faintly sweet with a hint of spice. More than anything, it gave him something to do while he tried to reach a conclusion he did not particularly like.
The fingers of his other hand tapped lightly against the armrest, a slow, absent rhythm.
This was not the part of the job he preferred. But it came with the position. With the promotion, the burdens had come as well.
He paused for a moment, lowering the mug slightly, his eyes still on the report without really reading it.
Then the chime finally chirped.

Drex let out a faint breath, set the mug down on the desk, and lifted his gaze toward the door.

Drex observed the four of them in silence, wondering what they had in common, aside from being in his office, of course. He let out a short breath, glancing briefly at the chairs, but decided not to offer them a seat. For a moment, he considered standing himself, then dismissed the idea just as quickly.
Instead, he leaned back, letting the pause stretch a little longer.

Drex: Heard you had fun on Bolarus. Mind explaining what happened?
