((Power Chamber 2, Deck 742-Beta, Voth Generation Ship Igirni))

Genkos gave the Bajoran officer a quick once over - finally, his medical skills were of use in the mission. It seemed like he was bruised but not seriously hurt. He called over his shoulder.

Adea: Carvalho, ch’Clex! I found one of ours. ::turning to Roktan:: Right, let’s get you on your feet.

Carvalho: Response.

Tholin seemed to recognise the Ensign, which showed that he was at least paying attention.

ch’Clex: Ensign Roktan, Lieutenant ch’Clex. You are safe for the moment.

The Bajoran gently got to his feet, with Genkos gingerly helping them, his free hand resting on the small of their back and supporting their weight. Once up Nemi leant on the nearby counter and took a deep breath, Genkos watching him intensely as he seemed to shake out his lethargy.

ch’Clex: Do you know what happened here? Who opened fire?

Rokton: I’m not sure… There was a commotion, then all I remember from there is bright flashes and waking up to you all.

The Ensign’s eyes widened as he stared at Genkos - clearly it was coming through loud and clear that he was in front of the Captain. Rokton went to straighten his uniform and wobbled slightly, throwing down a hand to the counter to stay steady. Genkos eyes his tricorder, and saw that his levels were at least steady, but recovering.

Adea: Easy, Ensign.

Carvalho: Response

ch’Clex: Take it slowly. Anything you remember may help us.

The ensign frowned as he looked over the Voth and Starfleet bodies around him. Genkos tried not to look at them, as he had to plough forward - there would be time enough for grief later.

Roktan: There’s a voice I remember…it was deeper than the others. I can’t make out exactly what they were saying but it was definitely from whoever started shooting first.

Adea: Do you remember what they said?

Carvalho: Response

The Bajoran shook his head and Genkos swallowed - he felt for this man, who had gone through something terrible and was now getting the third degree.

Roktan: I’m sorry, that’s really all I can remember at the moment. Hopefully something more helpful will come to me soon.

Adea: Don’t force it, Ensign. And don’t apologise - I am just glad you’re okay.

Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response

Roktan pushed off and set their face in a grimace. Genkos gave them a sympathetic smile.

Roktan: What’s going on? We hadn’t received any new warnings before everything went off the deep end down here.

Adea: We’re not really sure - it seems like the engines kicked off, and we were sent somewhere across the other side of the galaxy. Rival Voth boarded, and ::he gestured around:: it went to all hells.

Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response

The Bajoran dropped a hand to their waist, but Genkos tactfully turned away, and looked back down the corridor. Pursing his lips, he made a mental tally of the bodies.

Roktan: I should be good to move now. I’ll help in what ways I can.

Genkos nodded and moved off, Carvalho and ch’Clex in his wake. He could tell that Roktan needed a moment, and so he let him have it. When they were all together, they moved away, past the bodies and further down the corridor.

Adea: Any signs of anyone else?

Roktan / Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response

His subordinates’ responses were cut short as a phaser blast flew over their heads; Genkos could feel the speed of it ruffle his hair.

Adea: Get down! ::he dived into cover, before shouting:: Cease fire! We are Starfleet!

Another phaser blast flew down the corridor towards them. Clearly whoever it was did not know or did not care who they were.

Roktan / Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response

Captain Genkos Adea MD

Commanding Officer

USS Eagle-A

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
