Genkos leant on his cane heavily for a moment; he’d already had thoughts about how they were going to go about rationing if they needed to. He knew that despite all of Starfleet’s advances in technology, their civilised natures would evaporate quickly once they no longer had access to basic needs.

Adea: I’ve sent a team to the Proust - there’s a huge chunk not hugely far from here. With any luck they’ll find a replicator of some kind.

Although how they’d power it was another terrifying question.

Thalor: ::Unknowingly matching Genkos’ thoughts:: If they are unable to find a way to power it then all it will be good for is a large paperweight.

Genkos let out a small snort of mirthless laughter; large paperweight indeed. Not that they had any paper, large or otherwise, to weigh down.

Adea: We’ll have to hope that they are successful in their endeavour.

Thalor: Lieutenant Letek does know what we are most in need of so hopefully luck will be on our side and we will not need to ration supplies or figure out how to power replicators in this place..

Genkos nodded, and pushed an errant curl behind his ear.

Adea: We might have to make do and mend, Doctor.

Thalor: ::Dryly:: They neglected that part of my training much to my detriment. :: He shook his head and scoffed.:: In fact I do not think my professors had ever conceived having to operate in circumstances such as this, nor the wrecked sickbay I was left to deal with on the Proust.

Genkos felt a slight jab of sorrow from the El-Aurian, and Genkos turned his sympathetic ebony orbs to the good doctor.

Adea: I guess that’s Starfleet’s job, Doctor.

Thalor: Response

They approached one of the patients, one of the officers who had been mauled by one of the lizards. They let out a soft moan, presumably of pain, as the pair of medical professionals walked past.

Adea: Can we afford to give them more painkillers, doctor?

Thalor: Response

Commanding Officer

USS Eagle

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
