Meeting Lt. JG. Tanner at a random cafe on Bolarus had not been something Gnai had anticipated, but it had been a pleasant surprise. The transition to the Eagle was slow-going, it knew, and it had made contact with a good deal of the other senior staff so far… but not him until today. But now it could confidently say that it had in fact met him, and they’d got on decently well even.
Gnai: This would be interested in running through something like that with you, perhaps. In exchange for sharing some of this one’s holoprogram experiments…
The thought made Gnai’s mind race a bit, knowing that it might have an audience for some of what it did in the holodeck now.
Tanner: That sounds fair enough. I’ll have to think about something we could do. Perhaps some others might also like to join.
It bobbed in agreement in its tank.
Gnai: That is a good idea… Do you have more plans for shore leave?
Tanner: Oh, well I was hoping to take a stroll along the beach. ::Looking up.:: If the weather holds out.
It took a look at the sky as well, noting how it had changed color slightly, but not enough to be truly worrying. For humanoids, that is. Rain was not much a concern for a Galadoran, especially not a Galadoran in a suit.
Gnai: This did see that there was some inclement weather on the forecast… but it won’t get here for another few hours. Most likely. You should be fine!
Tanner: You’re welcome to join. ::intentionally creating space.:: Otherwise, see you when we have our next mission.
It was a nice offer… however it had only meant to be down on the surface for a brief period. Enough to report back to Genkos that it had taken leave, and had seen the planet, and had been doing enough not-work to count for all his worrying…
Gnai: Thank you for the invitation, lieutenant… but this should probably get back to some of the experiments that this left aboard the Eagle. This will let you get on with your leave. It was good to finally meet you!
With that, it gave another bob to Lt. JG. Tanner, and made its way out of the cafe, ready to beam back up to the Eagle and get back to work.
