Once again, Gnai had gotten it in its mind to try and flip the conversation back on its parter, this time questioning Lt. JG. Tanner on his time on Denali Station. Anything was better than trying to explain to yet another person about its apprehension with Sickbay.

Gnai: Interesting…! And how did it measure up to the Eagle?

Tanner: I guess, not really a fair comparison.  The Eagle is small and purposeful.  While I could know everyone the Eagle, I could never have known everyone on the Station.

Gnai: Easier to avoid individuals if one wanted, however…

Tanner: Yeah, I guess it’s good and bad.  Some relatively anonymity has its benefits.

Gnai: This wouldn’t really know, unfortunately.

It was hard to be anonymous as the only one of one’s species aboard (or in the fleet, period), after all.

Tanner: Does your apprehension for Sickbay extend to Engineering?  I’m sure our bedside manner would be up to par if you ever needed any assistance.

Gnai: Not really…? There wasn’t as much poking and prodding from the Engineering department when this first joined Starfleet.

It had assumed the reverse might be true, but the engineers seemed to have assumed that they’d get the information on its suit eventually anyways, so they could be patient. Which, if Gnai was being fair, made sense. Suit failures were hardly as critical as if Gnai itself was ailing…

Tanner: Response

Gnai: Do you feel like this should be apprehensive about going to Engineering?

It did wonder why he brought that up once again, so perhaps there was some reason to also worry about the Eagle’s Engineering department in particular…

Tanner: Response

That was good to hear, at least. He was being honest, as far as Gnai could tell, which it appreciated.

Gnai: This has yet to properly go there yet… but perhaps that should be on the schedule before the Eagle leaves for its next mission.

Tanner: Response
