((Bridge, Deck One, USS Eagle))
Genkos’ eyes widened as the ramifications hit him. If the Proust was drifting towards that new planet’s gravity, then chances are it wasn’t going to obtain orbit - it was going to crash and burn. He looked over at ch’Clex.
Adea: Are we sure there’s nobody on the Proust? ::looking at Braya and Frex:: Can we slow it with tractor beams, ensure we give everyone on board time enough to get out?
Frex ran his fingers over his console, gathering his thoughts together before replying to the Captain.
Frex: I think if we reverse the polarity of the tractor emitters and start on the lower end of thrust, we can definitely try and stop them. But, we'd definitely have to start on the lower end, as to make sure we don't crush the station and everyone onboard. I'm reading some damage to structural integrity on the station, so I don't want to blow them to high heavens.
Braya: Response?
ch’Clex: Tractor beam ready sir. ::Antennas moving worryingly:: Station integrity is at critical point commander, whatever we need to do we need to it now.
Frex: ::Checks sensor readings of the station:: Yeah, ch'Chex is right. Their structural integrity is starting to get below 50% and if we wait much longer, the tractor beam idea might be tossed out of the window.
Adea: Start slowing the Proust, keep it together as long as possible. ::he turned to Braya:: Beam everyone out, quick as you can Ensign.
Braya: Response?
ch’Clex: Engaging tractor beam ::Immediately red warning flashes started on Tholin’s display:: Hold together, we will get you all out…
Frex: Sir, it looks like the station's SIF went down with that hit from the tractor beam to ::checks sensors:: about 35%. Whatever we're going to do needs to happen in the next five minutes or so.
Genkos set his jaw, causing his normally prominent cheekbones to stick out even further. If someone were to paint a work entitled “Worried Captain” they’d do worse than using Genkos’ image right now as a basis.
Adea: Just get them out, and hold the Proust together as long as you can.
Genkos winced as he saw bits of the Proust flying off as the station slowly but surely inched closer and closer to the huge beige orb that was the unfamiliar planet in front of them.
Braya: Response?
ch’Clex: Incoming transmission form Lieutenant Drex.
Drex: =/\= Eagle, this is Drex on Proust Station. Do you copy? Over. =/\=
Adea: Open a channel. =/\= This is Adea, where are you? =/\=
Braya / ch’Clex / Frex: Response?
Drex / Tanner / Adyr: Response
Genkos looked over at Braya and Frex.
Adea: Can you pinpoint their signal? ::not waiting for a response:: Beam them all across. ::gritting his teeth:: I’m not losing anyone today, not due to CloQ.
Genkos had never heard of the phrase “speak of the devil and they shall appear”, which was good because if he had, he would have kicked himself. With a blinding flash of light, the tall, slim form of the being known as CloQ appeared on the bridge. Their mismatched eyes took in all the bridge officers, all of whom were unfamiliar to them, before settling on Genkos.
CloQ: Commander Adea! Or should I say Captain? Nice to see you again. ::they clasped their hands together behind their back:: I have a challenge for you. Survive! If you can do that, for as long as I deem necessary, you will gain my blessing. ::they smirked:: The year is 3069, and in approximately ::they pulled the watch out of their waistcoat pocket:: twelve minutes and thirteen seconds, all the dilithium in the universe will explode due to an event that will forever be known as “The Burn”. Just a heads up, I recommend you’re not on board when that happens.
With an evil grin, CloQ pressed down on the crown of the watch, and disappeared from view. A timer appeared on every screen, counting down from the twelve minutes the Q had given them.
Braya / ch’Clex / Frex: Response?
Adea: Braya, open me a channel; all frequencies. ::he took a deep breath:: =/\= This is Commander Adea to all hands. We are under attack by a Q, and if you can see a timer, that is how long we have until our dilithium goes boom. As such, ::there was a slight pause, as Genkos weighed up the gravity of the order, the second time he had given it in his Starfleet career:: abandon ship - I repeat, all hands, abandon ship. =/\=
He looked around at the officers on the bridge, and tried to keep the tears from welling in his eyes.
Braya / ch’Clex / Frex: Response?

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
