Jackson had decided, naively, to see if anyone would notice or decide to investigate what had happened and what had precipitated the need for him to call for transport assistance.  He knew better, but, as had been occurring of late, he’d been making a series of poor judgements. He’d told himself that silence meant indifference, that time passing meant the matter was forgotten. In truth, it meant the opposite: someone had started asking questions.

Jackson had arrived at precisely the requested time to meet.  Deliberately.  He didn’t exactly know what he’d say to them all prior.  Nor did he wish to see the looks they were likely to give him. Not that Jackson regretted what he did, but he knew they wished that he hadn’t. 

As he arrived, he gave them a nod, indicating his readiness.  

Drex: Come in. 

Braya / Hesan / Tensjal: Response

The four of them stood in silence. As they waited for the Commander to speak.  Jackson believed he knew the man well enough to tell he wasn’t impressed by the scenario and officers in front of him. Jackson could appreciate this part of the work wouldn’t rank high on anyone’s list of things they’d love to be doing. 

Drex: Heard you had fun on Bolarus. Mind explaining what happened?

Tanner: We ::indicating the other three:: were exploring Arinal City and we ran into Braya who was in some trouble in a Bar. 

All true, direct and to the point.  He didn’t actually know about what Braya was doing or why whatever happened in the bar started. He had decided it wasn’t for him to know. What he did know, was they absolutely needed to intervene.

Tanner: ::Shaking his head.:: No Sir, we didn’t know Braya would be there, but we quickly saw there was an altercation she was caught up in. 

Staring directly at the Commander, Jackson focused on not spilling the contents of the entire story.  He wasn’t the only one involved in the incident and others would have different perspectives to share.
