OOC: Going to nudge this team along a bit, mainly to leave tags for Numerdor to join us!

((Briefing Lean-To, The USS Eagle Outpost))

Adea: I’ll be staying here with Doctor Thalor and the rest of our medical team - we still have plenty of wounded to be looking after, and that’s where I’m needed best. Go in good faith, and remember - don’t let on that we’re here from the past - if the Department of Temporal Investigations exists in this part of the galaxy, I don’t want to get on their bad side.

With a final nod from Adea the briefing was over. Tomas paused to send a runner to find Hesan then sought out Frex and Favon.

Falt: Ensigns. It's good to meet you both, regardless of the circumstances.

Favon: Likewise, Commander

Frex: Response

Tomas gave them both a wan smile.

Falt: We'll have plenty of time to get to know each other on our little night time hike. In the meantime, go grab what gear you need and meet me back here in twenty minutes

Favon: Understood.

Frex: Response.

At which juncture the arrival of Master Gunnery Sergeant Hesan was heralded by the shadow cast by the Marines enormous frame. Tomas gave her a respectful nod.

Falt: That was quick! Grab your Search and Rescue gear Gunny, we've got a team missing somewhere in the wreckage of Proust Station.

Hesan's Andorian features remained as composed as ever.

Hesan: Aye, sir. I'll be ready to move in five.

Tomas chuckled.

Falt: And I've just given these two twenty minutes... Ensign's Frex and Favon, this is Master Gunnery Sergeant Hesan.

Hesan: Sir's.

Favon: Pleasure to meet you, Master Gunnery Sergeant. I'll be back quickly.

Frex: Response

Tomas raised an eyebrow. It was rare to see a new arrival not fall into the trap of calling the Master Guns "Sergeant." Hesan wasn't one for emotions, but he thought he saw a flicker of approval cross her face too.

With that, the group broke up to grab their gear. Tomas already had a go bag squared away, so returned in five minutes. He wasn't surprised to see Hesan already waiting for him, bit he was relieved he'd beaten the Ensign's back, purely on the look of the thing.

Favon and Frex arrived shortly afterwards.

Favon: Reporting back as ordered, Sir.

Frex: Response.

Falt: is everyone happy with their kit?

He focused his attention on the Ensigns, knowing full well that was not a question he needed to ask Hesan.

Favon: I have basic medical supplies, rations and water, a tricoder, and a bladed survival implement, Sir.

Tomas winced slightly. Favon was throwing around so many sirs they were at risk of taking someone's eye out.

Frex: Response

Falt: Excellent. I'd suggest those that need one grab an emergency shelter as we leave as well, in case we need to camp out for the night. Otherwise, let's go find Professor Numerdor and move out.

Favon: I can take point, Sir. Though, I suspect the Master Gunnery Sergeant would be bested suited to the task.

Tomas glanced at Hesan, who simply shrugged her massive shoulders. He doubted her position in the group would matter one iota when the firing started.

Falt: I don't mind you taking point. Master Guns can watch our six. Frex and I will be somewhere in the middle.

Frex: Response

With nothing else to discuss the group headed out.

((Timeskip, Three clicks from the wreckage of Proust Station))

Tomas stifled a yawn, it had been a long night. They'd made good time, and had set-up camp with some hours of darkness remaining. A few fires had still been burning in the wreckage of the station, clearly visible as they'd pitched their shelters, but as he stood next to Hesan and looked toward the horizon he realised they were not so easy to spot in the first light of day.

Hesan: I think we need to get a touch closer to properly scout out the situation. With a team missing I do not want to rush in blind.

Falt: Agreed.

Frex / Favon / Numerdor: Response.

Falt: We're going to need your help too, Professor. When we get to what's left of the station I'm trusting you'll be able to tell us where the best salvage is, as that's our likely where our missing tram went first.

Numerdor: Response.

Frex / Favon: Response.
