Tanner: Yeah, I guess it’s good and bad.  Some relatively anonymity has its benefits.

Generally speaking Jackson was a people person.  He would largely if given the opportunity, choose company over solitude.  But he also appreciated the benefits of spending time alone. Working on solo pursuits or just completing tasks without distractions all felt like perfectly acceptable reasons to be solo.

Gnai: This wouldn’t really know, unfortunately.

As he looked across at his colleague, Jackson allowed his eyes to follow along the robotic exterior.  It was relatively slim and made no effort to appear more than what it was.  It obviously afforded substantial opportunity to environments and places otherwise off limits for the Galdoran.  Which made Jackson wonder just how well he looks after it.

Tanner: Does your apprehension for Sickbay extend to Engineering?  I’m sure our bedside manner would be up to par if you ever needed a hand.

Jackson said it, and then pictured immediately Commander Kettick standing over the Galdoran patient.  Face completely devoid of any indication if the officer would live to see another day or be recycled. In light of this, Jackson decided that a retraction would make the situation worse.

Gnai: Not really…? There wasn’t as much poking and prodding from the Engineering department when this first joined Starfleet.

Tanner: Well, it looks quite mechanically sound, so I doubt it needed much attention.

Gnai: Do you feel like this should be apprehensive about going to Engineering?

Tanner: ::Smiling.:: No, not at all. We’re always happy to help with whatever is needed.

Gnai: This has yet to properly go there yet… but perhaps that should be on the schedule before the Eagle leaves for its next mission.

Tanner: Commander Kettick always welcomes visitors. ::Knowing full well that wasn’t necessarily true.::

Gnai: Response

Tanner: I do enjoy shoreleave.  It lets me use my time a bit looser. But, I do tend to itch to return to duty.

He’d been chased out of Engineering a few times on account of this.  Jackson really preferred to be busy with a structured routine.  Looking for things to do wasn’t what he was used to, nor what he liked.  At home Jackosn had a list of jobs to do from sun up to sun down.  While on duty he had largely the same expectations and that suited him just fine.

As he hypocritically sipped his cup of coffee, he overlooked just how much he was loving doing nothing at this very moment.

Gnai: Response

Tanner: Physical things mostly.  I enjoy being outdoors as much as I can.  What about yourself?
