((Engineering shack, The USS Eagle Outpost))

Noemi had slid into the shack that passed as the chief engineering’s headquarters with some curiosity and concern. Kettick’s message hadn’t seemed to indicate a medical emergency, or that one would be occurring soon, but one never knew on this forsaken dustball of a planet.

Kettick: Thank you all for coming. As you have no doubt heard through the scuttlebutt, the Captain has put into motion a plan to get us off this planet, and hopefully back to our time. The science behind it does elude me, but fortunately our orders are of a more pragmatic nature.

Kettick: :: In his usual monotone :: Now, who had "stealing a Klingon relic from a museum to go backwards in time" on their bingo card?

Drex: We are considering stealing a Klingon relic? From a museum?

He looked at all of them hoping it was a joke. Noemi shrugged back if it was she wasn’t in on it, nor was Braya given what Noemi was feeling.

Drex: If this is the Captain’s call, I will follow it. But I need to be clear: I am not enthusiastic about theft.

Braya: ::Grinning as she watched the knife spin:: First a cargo hauler. Now a museum piece. Cap’n knows how to play to my strengths, I‘ll give ‘im that.

Noemi raised an eyebrow.

Lim: What kind of relic?

Kettick: A Klingon Bird-of-prey, specifically. And a rather famous one.

His attention turned to Braya.

Kettick: Ensign Braya, I suspect that between the two of us, we will have no trouble upholding the glorious example of our Starfleet forebears and stealing the HMS Bounty... again. Any insight on the way we should go about hijacking a 23rd century Bird?

Braya: She might be old by Starfleet standards, but out near Acamar, most o’ our ships ain’t using tech much newer than Bounty’s. So long as they’ve not stripped the guts out of ‘er, I reckon we can find a way ‘round anythin’ else.

Noemi smiled slightly, the excitement from two out of her three teammates was catching.

Lim: I hope we won’t be alone on this ‘heist’.

The Remmilian nodded.

Kettick: Two other teams will cover us, one by disabling the security systems of the museum, and the other by causing a distraction. The XO will also bring us the ship's cloaking system, that has been removed and transferred to the Enterprise for whatever reason. I will work on re-installing it, but I welcome your expertise if you are familiar with the system. :: He turned towards the Betazoid in the room :: Doctor Lim, we will use the ship to evacuate everybody, but we have a number of injured in various states, and we do not know how the trip back in time will affect them. Do you believe we can repurpose the stasis fields used to protect the museum pieces on display onboard to help with their conditions?

Noemi started at the suggestion. Her mouth opened and closed a bit before she came up with an answer.

Lim: I... maybe? I don’t know. I’ve never used stasis fields on patients before... maybe Doctor Thalor might know something.

Braya: That scav’ I found in the junkyard’s good with a spanner. If ya’ don’t mind him taggin’ along.

Kettick: Good, please take point on that front. Lieutenant Drex, your help would also be appreciated. Furthermore, you will have to coordinate with Ensign Braya to set up a flight plan that has us slingshot around the local star on the right trajectory to warp us back in time. A typical Wednesday, I believe.

Drex was not happy, she could feel it.

Drex: I’m not thrilled about stealing a historical vessel, but orders are orders. When we’re supposed to move and how much time we’ll have to achieve the theft?

Braya: Who’s to say that ain’t the Bounty we stole and flew back in time already? Then it sits waitin’ for us to get it again. That makes sense…right?

Lim: A stable time loop would be better than a grandfather paradox.

Kettick: Response

Drex: I can draft the math from Kirk’s parameters and historical vector models, but I want to be honest. This is not my strongest domain. I can approximate.I can get us into the correct corridor, but we will need to cross-check every angle before we lock in final numbers.

Braya: ::With a smirk:: What’s the worst that can happen? Couple weeks off ‘ere or there is still a lot better than when we are now, right?

Not to be a debbie downer...

Lim: The worst that could happen is we end up in a completely different time than we want to be and the ship’s busted so we can’t get back.

Kettick: Response

Drex: I’ll begin roughing out the initial slingshot vector while we move. Once we reach the Bounty, Braya, I’ll need you for secondary verification and course correction modeling. :: Then under his breath :: A miracle, we need a miracle.

Braya: ::Making a ring of her thumb and forefinger, tone confident:: You got it. Show me the line, and I’ll fly it true.

Lim: ::Mildly:: At least someone’s confident.

Kettick: Response

Braya: ::Shifting her boots on the table, switching which foot was atop the other:: So we ready to roll?

Lim: I think we need to get the stuff we need for this heist?

oO Though no idea what I’d get for a heist. My tricorder? I’ve already got that. Oo

Drex/Kettick: Response

Noemi wandered off to hang out with Mue for a bit before wandering back to the engineering shack.

Braya: ::Grinning to mask her hurt:: Set an’ ready when y'all are. Let’s get us our ride home.

Lim: I’m ready I think.

She held up her tricorder and wiggled it.

Drex/Kettick/Braya: Response

Lim: When are we supposed to head out?
