((Planetside, Unknown Planet))

With the meeting of senior staff called, Braya positioned herself close to Williams, lifting her chin in greeting as she tied her jacket around her waist. It was far too hot during the day for uniforms, though the dusky blue undershirt was in desperate need of a wash. Clean laundry was a luxury the crews did not enjoy, marooned as they were.

Adea: Right, thank you all. It’s not been an easy time, but you’ve excelled yourselves at survival. But now we have to start thinking seriously about how to get home. To that end, Commander Adyr and I have come up with a cunning plan, or at least part of one.

oO That took a week? Oo

Braya’s eyes rolled, though only a little. She was getting ever so slightly better at concealing her frustrations.

Adea: First things first, we need to get off this planet, and find the rest of the Federation, if it even exists. To that end, Commander Adyr will lead a team to ::he flipped open a tricorder and projected the map they had:: this location. It looks like it might once upon a time have been a small ship depot of some kind, possibly Starfleet. However, it has fallen into the clutches of someone we know only as Taammir; they appear to be attached to something called “the Emerald Chain”. Adyr, your job will be to infiltrate this depot, and recover us a ship, or ships, that can get us off world en masse. Braya, you’ll be joining her as you’ve flown over the depot, and you’re a pilot. You might need to do some tinkering to get it started, so take Tanner with you as well.

Jackson nodded and remained silent.

Braya: Got it, Capt’n. We’ll bring ya’ the nicest one.

Adyr: Response?

There was a lot of chatter then that Braya didn’t absorb much. She gave Alex a look to tell him she’d rather they’d shared an assignment, but exchanged no words. With some haste, she went to her fighter, unlocked the canopy, and gathered some equipment. There wasn’t much to go around, but she had her disruptor, a tricorder that had been only slightly cracked three days ago by one of the lizard creatures, and a box labeled ‘cocoa solids’ that she stuffed into her backpack. Slinging the pack on her shoulder, Braya rejoined Tanner and Adyr as they prepared to leave.

Tanner: Dunno if stealth is my thing, but if we find a ship, at least I can get it working.

Braya: You get it workin’, I can fly it. So all we need to do is get in. ::glancing at Adyr::

Adyr: Response

Braya: Guess it’s settled, then. Depot ain’t exactly close, but I can’t fit three in her ::jerking a thumb at her Valkyrie: So I guess we’re hikin’ it. ::Lifting her canteen to make sure it was filled::

Adyr: Response

((Two hours later))

Heat made waves on the horizon as they walked, their feet having to fight for purchase on the loosely-packed sand. Sweat poured off Braya’s brow, and she took another long pull from her canteen.

Braya: ::Pointing with her canteen, squinting in the sun:: It’s close now. Past this big dune here, then just over the next.

Tanner/Adyr: Response?

Braya: Never saw anythin’ comin’ or goin’. Just the main hangar and the scrapyard. As for what’s workin’, or closest thing to workin’, I couldn’t say.

Tanner/Adyr: Response?
