((Outside the briefing room, USS Eagle Outpost))

Favon deftly followed the XO, aiming not to disappoint the Eagle's Executive Officer. The Trill had at least picked a suitable location, a shaded location that provided some reprieve from the desert heat.

Favon: ::nodding at Adyr:: Lieutenant Commander.

The human medical officer who'd also been assigned to the trio arrived not long after. Favon gave him a perfunctory nod of acknowledgement as he stood by her.

Letek: ::With a nod:: Commander... Ensign.

Adyr: Ensign Favon, Lieutenant Letek, I hope you are both up on your spy tactics.

Favon gave the XO a blank look, wondering which life (lives?) had bestowed upon the Trill such a woeful sense of humor. At least she hoped it was humor. It was times like these that made her decision to join Satfleet look like a foolhardy one in retrospect. She hoped that would change soon enough

Letek: I wouldn't claim to be particularly well versed in espionage tactics.

Favon: I have not had the privilege, Ma'am. ::Her tone was perfectly flat::

Favon examined the XO's expression, the barest hint of a smile on their face.

oO I hope she doesn't think she's funny Oo

Adyr: Lets pack light; we indeed may not be spies or spooks, but it's up to us to make this happen.

Letek: Give me five minutes and I'll pack a medical kit.

Favon: ::Nodding:: Understood, I'll pack a phaser and some tools, Ma'am. I'll be back at the same time.

She was back in three minutes, actually. Favon had already sorted out her equipment and visiting the makeshift armory to retrieve a handheld phaser was trivial.

Adyr: Any last minute questions before we leave?

Favon shook her head. There were plenty of questions she did have, but most seemed irrelevant to the task at hand.

Favon: None from which I'll receive a satisfactory answer, Commander.

Letek: Um... I don't want to seem unprofessional, but... where are we going?

Favon gave the Medical Officer a look, and then turned back to the XO. She supposed medical officers weren't the sort to deal with field operations and the like but...

Favon: To recover a cloaking device from a museum Lieutenant. We are to take a ship through space and time to get there. I believe the XO is aware of the finer details.

Adyr: Response

Favon nodded along. She'd long since stopped trying to wrack her brain around the temporal implications, focusing instead on the day to day. It was keeping her sane.

Favon: Presumably once we recover the device we're to move it onto the commandeered vessel after the other teams have disabled and otherwise occupied the museum security. Correct?

Adyr/Letek: Response

They spent a brief time looking over the floor plans. Favon doing an admirable suppressing both her incredulity and her frustration. She hoped this ship and its crew didn't make a habit of getting involved in such scenarios. If it did, well... She hoped it didn't

Favon: ::Glanced at her watch.:: Do you want us to assist you in preparing the vessel for departure, Commander?

Adyr/Letek: Response.

Favon: Yes ma'am, will do.

The vessel was functional and she ran through the preflight checks that was about all she could say about it. She really did hope this whole scheme would work, because she for one was quite looking forward to doing her job on a starship and instead of being a scavenger in a nice uniform.

Favon: Pre-flight checks show no outstanding issues, vessel should be functional for departure at 0800, Ma'am.

Adyr/Letek: Response.
