((Modular Mission Bays, Deck 11, USS Eagle-A))

By now, the Doctor was more of an observer than an active participant in the goings on below them.  He watched as the very capable officers did their best to create an opening and an opportunity to rescue their colleagues still on the moon's surface.

Kettic: By all means, mister Fiorr. The question is whether we reinforce those on the ground or open a second front.

Fiorr: Well, if we keep them focused on the sky, those on the ground might escape detection. As long as we don’t instruct them to fly back, we might have some time to build up to the fleet…

Except they did not know whether the Genesis device had detected the survival of part of their swarm...

Kettick: That, and as long as they are shooting at our drones they are not targeting us. Let us send a second group on the other side of the origin point, and keep monitoring the status of the first batch. If they get cut down, we will know we need to focus our efforts on the second site, and build from there. Otherwise we will replicate the

same pattern and try a triangulation.

Iroka: A second point of interest would certainly be my suggestion.  As you suggest, they might get overlooked should any survive.

Fiorr: Response?

Kettick: Have the transport beacons picked up any signal?

Iroka: Not so far.

Fiorr: Response?

It was the thing they were all hanging on.

Kettick: That energy profile looks like a shield... Can we try and send our next group on top of it, or as close as they can get?

Fiorr: Response?

Kettick: Good. As soon as you register anything that looks like a combadge or emergency beacon, send them to a quarantine ward at once.:: He paused, head cocked sideways for a beat :: Preferably one that still has atmosphere.

The Doctor was monitoring communications and any signals that came in really. He wasn’t perfectly adept at it, but he was capable enough to know what he was looking for.  However, when this signal came in, he knew it wasn’t the one they were waiting for, but was one they were interested in.

Iroka: I have something here.

Fiorr/Kettick: Response

Iroka: No, it’s from the surface.  ::Looking over.:: Your Captain? They are attempting to make contact.

While Iroka knew their focus had been on the moon, he knew they were also attempting to retrieve their Captain from the surface.

Fiorr/Kettick: Response
