((Unknown Chamber, Deck ??? | Igirni))

They hadn’t really accomplished much by the way of leaving where they had found themselves post the incident.  This didn’t much bother Jackson on account of the thumping headache he was developing.

Frinn: Unless the ship has been cannibalizing itself. Some old repair systems used to reclaim material from damaged sections, but they are not supposed to touch load-bearing bulkheads. And… those systems have been offline for many generations because they could not be maintained.

Tanner: Seems you’ve answered your own question then.

Lim: So then there is a path we can take that doesn’t involve climbing up walls without gear.

Frinn : Response

Tanner: Surely, this is to our advantage though? Is it not an opportunity for easy escape? :: Now taking the poignant moment to look up.:: So as to avoid any climbing?

Falt: That would depend on how big the hollow is, where it goes, and whether it is a better option than following the tracks away from the waste area we landed in.

Lim: ::Muttering:: Or taking trash conveyor belts to unknown locations.

Frinn: Response

Jackson still didn’t like the idea of going to where the trash went, but he knew better than to make a point of it. As if appearing, in order to galvanise their direction, a loud crash was heard causing Jackson to frown in worry.

Falt: What was that?

Lim: Guess we should go check it out.

Frinn: Response

Falt led them in the direction of the sound. They’d only travelled twenty meters or so when they spotted an open door set into the same wall as the hollow. Which conveniently explained why that area had in fact been altered as such.

It wasn’t until Jackson had eyes on Braya, that he remembered they were supposed to be searching for where she had gotten off too. Initially thankful they had found her, Jackson wondered under what circumstances was she here.

Falt: Lieutenant Braya, am I glad to see you. ::noting the Voth standing beside her:: Who's your friend?

Lim: ::Smiling::  I’m glad you weren’t too far away.

Trashk: Did you ****ing sell me out?

Jackson's fragility left him as he saw the malice in the Voth's voice.  It was clear to all, that Braya was in fact not here of her own volition. Casting a glance over at Braya, who was perfectly capable of handling herself, looked as always as though this was well in hand.

oO Who am I kidding, she’s probably got him captive. Oo

Braya / Frinn: Response

Falt: We were just looking for a way out. We thought we'd found a promising hollow, but it was probably this room. I don't suppose you know of a way out, or perhaps where these tracks go?

Lim: Are you injured at all?

Trashk: Her hands are all white and cracked from the cold… ::Snarling:: She deserves it.

It was difficult to know if they just wished to present some hostile veneer or if wishing her harm was truly the aim.  But, Jackson continued to take cues from Braya and as such, dismissed it.

Jackson turned his head to the left and noticed what looked like an external window.  It was small, but large enough for Jackosn to see something out of it. Moving slowly to the window, Jackson rested his hand against the wall as he took stock.

Tanner: Well, it looks like we have some company.

Braya / Frinn / Falt: Response

Lim:  Why would there be other Voth ships out here? Voth territory is at least, what, several weeks of warp travel away?

Trashk: Unless we moved.

Tanner: ::Nodding:: I think that's a reasonable hypothesis. Which, then leads to the question of just what was the black hole then….

Lim / Braya / Frinn / Falt: Response

Trashk: That could have been their plan - ::hope fulling her chest:: to send us home.

oO Home being the Delta Quadrant? Oo

Tanner: Who exactly are you referring to by ‘their plan’?

Lim / Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Falt: Response

It made sense to Jackson that on a ship of this size that there would be different factions with different ideals aboard the ship.  It was impossible for them to be truly united.  However, he found it interesting that if there were portions of them that wished to return home that they would not be free to do so.

Tanner: And what exactly was it that you wanted?

Lim / Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Falt: Response
