((Federation Headquarters Ballroom, Bolarus IX))

OOC: Sorry! Time got away on me.

Jackson glanced further into the room as people started to pool and mingle. He could see a few of the senior staff already there looking great and was glad that everyone had taken up this opportunity to party and mingle.

Tanner: ::Nodding.:: Should we head further in?

Lim: Yeah and get out of the way for other people coming in.

The pair wandered further into the room away from the entering hustle and bustle of people.  The room opened up even more with an expansive shiny ballroom floor bordered by tables and seating.

Tanner: Any word on where we might be heading next?

Jackson knew better, but he couldn’t help but engage in next mission speculation.

Lim: Not sure. As long as the next mission  doesn’t deal with biocrime I’ll be fine with whatever we get.

It was a difficult point not to agree to.

Lim: What about you? ::She reflected back on the meeting of the ship’s department chiefs.:: I imagine you’d prefer a mission that doesn’t deal with infected neural nodes.

Tanner: Agreed. I’d settle for something new to explore, that is non dangerous and sunny.

Lim: That would be nice. Maybe we’ll be lucky and we’ll know how bad the mission’s going to be at the start.

Jackson smiled. It would be a nice change.  One where they headed knowing precisely the expectation and outcome required to complete their goals.  But as the look on her face said, they were probably a touch hopeful.

Tanner: ::Looking over at Tholin.:: I’d settle for one where we don’t get terribly injured also.

Lim: Response

Tanner: I haven’t had a chance to speak with him.  How is he going?

Grabbing a sparkling drink of the waiter that walked past with no mind to what it was, Jackson listened to the Doctor.

Lim: Response

While it wasn’t exactly something that couldn’t be overcome with today’s medical advancements.  It was still a loss and something that is not different for the man to deal with.  It wasn’t like his replacement was as good as new or even felt like it did before.  Jackson found it difficult to think how he'd feel if it were him instead.::

Tanner: Yeah I bet, and I’m glad to hear he’s taking it ok.

The Engineer pencilled in going to have a chat with him during the evening.

Lim: Response
