((Unknown Chamber, Deck ??? , Voth Generational Ship Igirni))
Tomas took the lead and set out in the direction of the sound. He'd only travelled twenty meters when he encountered an access door, set into the same wall as the hollow. The door was open, and inside the large room beyond he spotted a familiar face.
Falt: Lieutenant Braya, am I glad to see you. ::noting the Voth standing beside her:: Who's your friend?
Lim: ::Smiling:: I’m glad you weren’t too far away.
Trashk: Did you ****ing sell me out?
Braya / Frinn: Response
Aware the Voth with Braya was possibly her kidnapper Tomas feigned bending down to tie his boot lace and drew the type 1 phaser from inside his boot. As he stood up he concealed it in his palm.
Falt: We were just looking for a way out. We thought we'd found a promising hollow, but it was probably this room. I don't suppose you know of a way out, or perhaps where these tracks go?
Lim: Are you injured at all?
Trashk: Her hands are all white and cracked from the cold… ::Snarling:: She deserves it.
Frowning, Tomas kept his hand firmly on his concealed type one phaser. Something was off with this Voth, even if the Lieutenant seemed remarkably nonplussed by things. Of course, if anyone was going to have a non-stereotypical captor / captive relationship
it was Braya, but that didn’t make Tomas feel any more predisposed to trust her likely abductor.
As he kept a careful watch on the Voth he was aware Lieutenant Tanner had moved across the room to look out of one of the external windows.
Tanner: Well, it looks like we have some company.
Tomas didn’t his gaze off the Voth,
Falt: What can you see, Lieutenant?
Braya / Frinn: Response
Lim: Why would there be other Voth ships out here? Voth territory is at least, what, several weeks of warp travel away?
Tomas thought that was an optimistic statement. Voth territory was in the Delta quadrant, and therefore likely many months travel away at high warp. Either way, it was clear they were not in Kansas anymore, and it didn’t change the fact there were Voth ships
out there. He just wasn’t quite sure how that had happened without the Eagle picking them up on sensors long before.
There was one explanation, and the new Voth voiced it before Tomas could.
Trashk: Unless we moved.
Tanner: ::Nodding:: I think that's a reasonable hypothesis. Which, then leads to the question of just what was the black hole then….
Lim: ::Disgruntled:: It’s another goddess damned portal.
The animal Doctor Lim was ferrying around hissed in displeasure
Falt: It did feel like we’d gone through a wormhole when we fell, so that tracks, and the presence of the Voth suggests we’ve travelled all the way to the Delta Quadrant. Interesting…
He didn’t want to speculate if they’d also travelled in time, or even dimension. They’d find that out soon enough.
Braya / Frinn: Response
Trashk: That could have been their plan - ::hope fulling her chest:: to send us home.
The ever-dependable Lieutenant Tanner vocalised the thought Tomas had just had...
Tanner: Who exactly are you referring to by ‘their plan’?
Lim: Not the Igirni’s council of elders I assume.
With Voth ships outside Tomas decided there was very little point maintaining that Starfleet had not encountered the species before. Besides, it seemed these Voth new a whole lot more than they’d been letting on too.
Falt: Given what I know about the Voth separatists are likely frowned upon. I’m guessing this was some kind of plan to return to the Igirni to what many Voth believe is their only true home, correct?
Braya / Frinn / Trashk: Response
Tanner: And what exactly was it that you wanted?
Trashk: Response
Lim: And your group couldn’t go off on your own, and not drag everyone else who wanted something different with you?
Braya / Frinn: Response
Tomas stayed silent, watching the two Voth carefully. Neither Lieutenant’s Lim or Tanner were being very diplomatic, and if these Voth had the drive and means to transport a ship halfway across the galaxy for their ideology then he had no doubt they would
fight to defend any attacks against it. Given Doctor Lim’s earlier briefing he wanted to be ready for any sudden movements.
Lim: If your group had brought it up that you were not being allowed to leave to any of us then we could have helped and much of all this ::she waved to the window:: could have been avoided.
Tomas shook his head,
Falt: From the records I’ve read about the Voth I doubt they would have even considered that an option. ::looking at Trashk questioningly:: Plus, I suspect this is bigger than just the group on the Igirni. Someone in the Delta quadrant wanted you home too,
correct?
Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Tanner : Response
Lim: Like I said, Voth space is only several weeks away. There are many ships that your group could have chartered to take you back to Voth space or to find another planet if that’s what you’d all prefer. You didn’t have to make everyone else come.
Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Tanner : Response
Falt: Agreed, but like it or not, they did. Which means our immediate priority is finding the Captain and getting off this ship so we can work out how to get home. ::tapping his combadge:: =/\= Falt to Adea? =/\=
This time the channel did open, and he grinned as a response came through a moment later.
Adea: =/\= Response =/\=
Tomas looked around the group.
Falt: =/\= We’re a bit banged up, but we’re fine sir. A bigger concern is that I can’t contact the ship and there are more Voth vessels outside. There is also reason to believe we may be in the Delta quadrant,
Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Tanner / Lim: Response
Adea: =/\= Response =/\=
Falt: =/\= Understood, sir. I’m sure Lieutenant Lim can track your biosignature on her tricorder if needed. We’ll make our way towards you now. Falt out. =/\=
((OOC: N.B. Staff already discussed this course of action,))
Line closed, Tomas turned his full attention back to the team and the situation at hand.
Falt: You heard the Captain. ::to Lim:: Lieutenant, can you get a precise fix on his position?
Lim: Response
Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Tanner: Response
Tomas nodded his agreement.
Falt: Let’s head down the grav-tracks then. At least they will be easing going and are headed in the right direction. Plus they're taking us away from the waste processing area, and if we're lucky we might even find a transit car to speed us up. ::turning to
the two Voth:: It is up to you whether you follow us or we go our separate ways, but if you do come with us you follow my orders. Understood?
Lim / Braya / Frinn / Trashk / Tanner: Response
