((Subterannean Levels, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alomia))

Tanner: Well, if we can get word out, we’ll be able to see what we can do.  Otherwise, we’re going to need to clear the building, which is likely already an issue.

While the gas worked really well on the current occupants at the time, it was likely new Almomians had since entered and would know how to counteract the gases present or simply would not be as affected.  Which meant, they had a limited time of no hostile encounters to deal with.

Falt: Mister Tanner, when we were planning this rescue mission you were confident once we had the captain that cutting the power to the shield wouldn't be problematic. What do you need to make that happen?

oO I did say that didn’t I Oo

Tanner: I was hoping we’d have some access that was a little more than the terminal.

Letek: Whatever we do, we have to be quick.

Falt: It seems the terminal you found is our best option then. Let's get that shield down, Lieutenant Tanner. Doctor Letek, assuming no one else needs medical care you go with him to try and restore comms.

Jackson simply nodded.  Noting the urgency and also the possible complexity of the task they were given.

Letek: Aye, sir!

Falt: I know you're our comms expert, Lieutenant, but you've also been monitoring the situation out there. I'd like you to bring the Captain and Minister Epoma up to speed. If things don't go to plan we'll certainly need a plan B. Heck, we may even need to talk our way out of this so the more information they have the better?

Genkos looked over at Tomas, a slightly blank look on his face.

Adea: What will you be doing, Commander?

Epoma(?): Response.

Falt: Me? I'm going to keep watch and try to get our phasers working. Questions?

Genkos jerked a dirty thumb towards Braya, which made her almost jump.

Adea: Only for her do I have questions.

Moving without any additional commentary, the Doctor and Jackson returned to the room they had used to successfully open the Captains room. Jackson was hoping it was a wall to wall command centre that he could simply use to do whatever he wanted. And if the universe was feeling generous, he also hoped inside would be a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

Letek: It might not be so easy to access the systems. The console didn't recognize my inputs. Only when I used one of the Alomians' hands to press the buttons were the inputs accepted.

Tanner: ::Nodding.::  Makes sense. That will either make things very easy, or difficult.  Particularly ::Pausing to look at them totally blank faced.:: if they happen to wake up.

Letek: What about the tricorder? Can we possibly use it to access the system?

Tanner: It’s possible, but bypassing security protocols takes time.  I’m hoping we can intercept the authentication process and speed this up.

Reaching the room, Jackson found it to be coffee less and not quite the room he was hoping for.  Nonetheless, he could see console screens that clearly were used for more than just simply unlocking rooms.

Letek: Let me know if I can help.

Tanner: Right.  It would be helpful if you could show me what button you pushed to open the doors.

Letek: Response

Having gotten what he wanted from the button press, Jackson set about his work.  He would not have the time to use the Almonian hand to dart across the console to do what he needed, so he needed to remove that requirement from the terminal.  As he worked in an access panel off to the side of the console, the Almonian’s hand moved startling Jackson.  The engineer paused for a moment as he waited to see if there were any follow up movements.

Tanner: So, just how much longer do we think we have before they wake up?

Letek: Response

Tanner: Work faster you say.  On it.

Letek: Response

It wasn’t overly complicated, mostly because of their level of technology.  Once Jackson was able to intercept the authentication code, he just simply had to haved the system believe it was now always there.

Tanner: If you could tell me when the console comes to life.

Letek: Response

Jackson popped his head up, and could see exactly what he was hoping to see. The console now looked as though an Alomian had authenticated and was manning it.

Tanner: Looks like shield control there ::The large domed output tended to be a giveaway.:: Let's turn that off and get out of there.

oO I’m sure they just moved again.Oo

Jackson picked up his kit and moved with the Doctor back to the group.

Letek / Adea / Epoma / Falt: Response?

Tanner: ::Looking at his tricorder.:: We are good to go.

Well, in the sense that they had taken the shield down anyway.  Whether or not the Eagle was good to beam them up wasn’t entirely something Jackson knew about.

Braya: ::Breathless:: Captain. That’s local law breachin’ the buildin’. An’ they ain’t gonna be ‘appy t’see any o’ us.

Tanner: =/\= Tanner to the Eagle =/\=

A very long pause of what was likely a couple of seconds elapsed.  Jackson could see no reason the Eagle would not have received their comms.  In fact, he was certain it was.

Letek / Adea / Epoma / Falt / Braya: Response?

Jackson was going to answer, but he was stopped by the low grumble that came from the nearby Alomian.

Tanner: We are most definitely out of time.

Eagle/Drex/Anyone: =/\= Response =/\=

Letek / Adea / Epoma / Falt / Braya: Response?
