((Fuel Line Corridor, Deck 496 | Igirni))
Noemi looked over the Commander’s torn hand and suppressed a wince as the ship lurched once again.
Lim: Is there somewhere more stable we can go so I can treat his hand?
While she could clean it and use the dermal regenerated even if the ship was shaking like a paint mixer, she would prefer to retreat to the more stable ground of the corridor.
Frinn: I assume you brought supplies to help our injured? Won’t that help your own kind? If not, I can escort you to an aid station.
A surge of fear and panic stopped her from answering Frinn’s question.
Frinn: RUN! This way!
With that emotional spectrum combined with that tone, Noemi was not going to disobey.
Frinn: Do not linger! The fuel line is about to break! We have no time!
They raced to a nearby bulkhead door and dashed through it, with Commander Falt lingering to ensure everyone made it inside before directing Jackson to seal the door.
Tanner: Will this hold? ::As if they had a choice.::
Frinn: Response
Braya: ‘Ope this door’s seen more care than the catwalk.
Falt: It looks like this place was designed as a refuge, so we should be safe for a few minutes. Hopefully that will be long enough for someone to vent the fuel. ::he paused for a second:: I'd stay away from the door and external wall though, just to be safe.
Noemi leaned against a wall and closed her eyes. If she was understanding what Mue was picking up correctly it didn’t look like there were any leaks.
Lim: It appears to be sealed at least.
Tanner: What a reckless place to have us if your fuel lines are so fragile!
Braya: If I were prone to paranoia, the timin’ would seem awful convenient.
Falt: Everyone take a breath and calm down. Speculation and accusations will not help, lets focus on how we get our of our current prediciment.
Lim: There isn’t much we can do at the moment right? The fuel lines would need to be shut off and vented before we can return, right?
Frinn : Response
Tanner: How long before your bridge manages to cut off the section and make it safe? I’d like to look at the condition of that served fuel line.
Braya: As if the engines didn’t ‘ave enough problems already, eh?
Falt: ::to Braya:: I said less of that, Lieutenant. Why don't you go take a look around, see what you can find in here. ::he held up a hand:: And yes, that is an order.
Lim: ::To Falt:: How does your hand look?
Frinn : Response
As Braya went off to investigate, Falt took a look at his hand and Noemi took the opportunity to look it over as well. Nasty cuts, but not as deep as Noemi had feared. They were already clotting.
Braya: ::Loudly, but out of sight:: Commander Falt? I think I hear -
She was cut off suddenly by the sounds of a commotion. Noemi could feel her shock and alarm along with other less positively inclined feelings, most likely from those that were the source of Braya’s feelings.
Falt: Lieutenant? Everything okay?
When she didn't reply Falt gestured to them to follow him as he headed in the direction she had shouted from.
Tanner / Frinn: Response
As he rounded the corner Tomas felt a rush of adrenaline. Lieutenant Braya had gone!
Falt: Braya! Can you hear us. ::he motioned to the others:: Use your tricorders, quickly!
She pulled out her tricorder and Mue waved his whiskers around. There was only one thing that was keeping her from feeling more anxious, she could feel Braya’s emotions and she was at the very least not hurt enough for pain to bleed into her emotions.
Lim: I can feel her nearby at least.
There were too many minds around them for her do more than that at the moment. Most were feeling some kind of panic and alarm, understandable given the circumstances, but there was a strain of detection apprehension that definitely pointed towards this was not a mere accident.
Tanner / Frinn: Response
Falt: =/\= Falt to the Eagle, do you have a lock on Lieutenant Braya? =/\=
That the answering response was only static was not a good sign at all.
Falt: All the liquid fuel outside must be blocking the signal. Mister Tanner, can you work with our Voth friend to see if you can contact anyone from that console? The priority has to be to get someone to vent the fuel,
Tanner / Frinn: Response
Falt: Good. Doctor Lim, her little companion and I will keep looking for Braya.
Noemi nodded and then turned to their colleague and their new ally.
Lim: Be safe you two. None of this was an accident.
She was confident in it now. Even if this particular event had not been directly instigated, the amount of neglect for this area negated any chance that it was some kind of freak accident.
They left Jackson and Frinn behind to engineer a fix while they went to rescue Braya. Or rescue whoever took Braya from Braya. She hoped it would be the latter, it would serve them right.
Tanner / Frinn / Falt: Response
Lim: There are too many minds for me to do more than point us in the right direction.
Falt: Response
A beep from her tricorder indicated it had picked up Braya’s combadge signal.
Lim: Tricorder’s picking up her combadge now.
Falt: Response
