((Starfleet Medical Centre, Bokitu City, Bolarus IX))
Nan had arrived at the Starfleet Medical facility with the unconscious Braya in her arms. Along with the rest of the group they had taken her to triage, where she had quickly been surrounded by medical personnel.
Keen not to get in the way she took a few steps back from Braya and the others. Her bulk had many advantages as a Marine, but in a hospital situation she tended just to get in the way.
Hesan: ::to Tanner:: I think it might be better if I go and stay out of the way in the waiting area, sir.
Tanner: ::Nodding:: Ok
She followed the directional ceiling signs to the nearest waiting area, which turned out to be a large and well-lit space, with comfy looking chairs, aquariums, and potted plants. Not one for sitting down Nan found an out of the way corner and leaned her body
weight against a wall. A career in the Marines had taught her to rest when she could, and that sleeping standing up was easier than people thought. She closed her eyes.
((Time skip))
Nan was dozing rather than sleeping and so was aware of all the room's coming's and goings. After a short while Lieutenant Tanner had entered the room, and she had given him a nod as he'd taken up his own position to wait for Braya. She suspected he was rather
annoyed and not in the mood for small talk so she stayed where she was and shut her eyes once more.
After dozing a little while longer she straightened up as Lieutenant Braya arrived, upright but looking rather bedraggled for a Starfleet officer. She strode over to join her and Tanner.
Braya: ::Looking beleaguered, but on her feet, and talking fast:: Hey! ‘Preciate’ ya’ gettin’ me here. Feelin' great now. Ya’ll ready t’go? You get them ribs handled, Jax?
Tanner: I did ::Touching them intentionally:: Good to see you’re looking better.
Hesan: Good to see you up and about, Lieutenant.
Tensjal: Response
Tanner: Yeah you had us a little worried.
Nan wasn't entirely sure if that was a human expression or whether the Lieutenant really thought they'd all been worried about Braya. Nan certainly hadn't been, the woman's injuries had been comparatively minor and easily fixed with the medical attention available
on Bolarus, back-alley clinic or otherwise.
Hesan: I think the Lieutenant is tougher than she's given credit for.
Braya / Tensjal: Response
Tanner: Well, that’s about as much excitement as I can handle, I’m going to head off.
Nan gave the Lieutenant a rather stiff and formal nod of acknowledgement.
Hesan: Understood, sir.
Braya / Tensjal: Response
Tanner: Oh, and let's not do this again, yeah?
Not wanting to aggravate the Lieutenant with a response she deliberately kept quiet and gave him a curt nod. She then turned to Braya.
Hesan: I don't know about you, but something like that usually makes me hungry. Shall we go and find something to eat?
Braya / Tensjal: Response
Nan laughed. She rather liked this young Acamarian officer, she seemed like someone you could count on when things went bad. If she wasn't being reassigned she would have liked to get know her better.
Hesan: If you are hungry I suggest we find somewhere in Bokitu City. Less chance of running into those Klingons again up here!
Braya / Tensjal: Response
