His subordinates’ responses were cut short as a phaser blast flew over their heads; Genkos could feel the speed of it ruffle his hair.

Adea: Get down! ::he dived into cover, before shouting:: Cease fire! We are Starfleet!

Another phaser blast flew down the corridor towards them. Clearly whoever it was did not know or did not care who they were.

Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response

Genkos saw as Roktan moved quickly to a nearby wall and put it between him and their assailants. Genkos gave him a short nod of “good work not getting killed”.

Adea: We’re pinned down here. ::he looked to his officers:: Any suggestions?

Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response 

Roktan: :: Raising his voice over the phaser fire ::  I've got something! 

Genkos looked over at Roktan, who was alone against a wall. He felt for the ensign - he’d been awake all of five minutes, and now he was being shot at. Hardly an ideal day. 

Adea: What’s your plan, Ensign?

Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response 

Roktan: Is there anything between us and them? If I can get to that console ::pointing:: I might be able to shut them out! 

Genkos took a look, and there was practically nothing between them, except a few bodies. He readied his phaser and looked to Tholin.

Adea: We can provide covering fire, right?

Roktan / Carvalho / ch’Clex: Response

Genkos looked over to Roktan and gave him a nod. He counted down on his fingers from three, then emerged from cover and started firing his phaser wildly. He was a terrible shot, but in this instance it was quantity over quality.

Adea: ::shouting:: Suppressing fire!
