to Darwin-A
((OOC: This is just a super short one to close out these tags, as I didn't want to leave it hanging now that we're moving right into the new mission))

((USS Darwin, Deck 2, Conference Room))

Varaan: The Darwin should arrive at the Jenatris Corridor in approximately 18 days, 11 hours and 42 minutes at current speed. It will then take 23.78 hours to traverse the Corridor to the Expanse. In that time, if there is anyone who would like more details regarding the Par'tha Expanse, I will be available to answer any questions. Otherwise, we still have a ship to run. Dismissed.

::People began talking immediately, some standing in small groups, others rushing off to their duty stations. Speculation had begun in earnest. Varaan was about to turn to Renos when someone approached him.::

Varaan: Can I help you?

Sindrana: Yes Commander. I noticed that there were some names that were missing from the roster. Am I to assume that everyone not mentioned will be sent to Deep Space 26?

::Varaan had wondered who would be the first on the Darwin to ask this question. Here it was, their new(er) counselor, transferred from Outpost Unity just in time to join the odyssey to the Par'tha Expanse.::

Varaan: Not necessarily, lieutenant. While some of the Darwin staff are moving to the Atlantis, the Blackwell and, indeed, to DS26, some crew will need to remain behind on the Darwin as well.

Sindrana: I am curious sir, where will I be assigned?

Varaan: The captain still has some interviews to perform, and some crew placements are dependent upon others. There are also transfers in and out to be taken into consideration. As we have a great deal of time before we arrive at our destination, I am sure that an answer will be forthcoming. I apologize if it is not as timely as you would have liked.

::Varaan knew of Sindrana's mixed species heritage. Part of her was Vulcan and would accept the situation for what it was. But part of her was also Romulan, a people whose fiery emotions drove them. Not knowing Sindrana's home life, Varaan wondered at which parent's culture influenced her upbringing more. Most of the staff had started to file out of the conference room now, and Sindrana thanked Varaan and bade him farewell before following suit. Varaan headed to his station on the bridge. They were headed back to the Par'tha Expanse. He struggled to keep the unresolved emotions regarding this fact from coming to the surface. Perhaps he would be able to find the time to take care of some unfinished business?::
