Lieutenant Ba'el - Down time in the Hospital

The Counselor looked up when Ch'Nilmani turned back to look at her once more. Concern still visible on his features. She smiled tiredly at him.

Ba'el: ::Hoarse whisper again:: Well, I guess I should stay then.

Ch'Nilmani: ::smiling:: You don't have any choice, Lieutenant.

Ba'el: ::Weak raspy voice:: So....About those Timbits and Raktajino?

Ba'el could hear Dizsigh as he turned back to them after his call.

Ch'Nilmani: Hopefully that'll get us someone. I don't know how bad the
whole ship is. We could have medical personnel everywhere.

EPILOGUE

((ICU Bay - Main Sick Bay - Deck 12 - USS Constitution))

Medical help did eventually arrive and Ba'el was transferred to the main sickbay facilities for further treatment. Over the next few days as the Constitution departed the nebula and started it's journey home, the injuries Ba'el had sustained during her brief sojourn through space were tended to. Due to the length of her exposure, the damage to her respiratory systems was the most extensive and required several courses of treatment to assist the healing process. To that end, she remained in the ICU bay so that her recovery could be monitored and adjustments. Time passed slowly. For the first couple of days, she simply slept. Soon thereafter, she started to use the bedside access terminal to catch up on what has been happening while she was out. The respiratory therapy sessions would continue for another few days, but she was looking forward to returning to her quarters.  As she was finishing her midday meal on the fifth day of her stay in the ICU, she heard a familiar voice by the bay doors and smiled at who she saw standing there.

Ba'el: ::Smiling:: Ah, visitors, Come in
