(( Bee 1 - Rigar Nebula ))
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= We're finishing our sweep quickly and heading for
the shuttle bay. Ba'el how you holding up? =/\=
Ba'el: :: Quickly scans he readouts before replying::m=/\= All
good here Commander. =/\=
((OOC: Too be clear, I cut out the communication between Ba'el
and Shimisi as Ch'Nilmani wasn't added to that channel. ))
The way good. Diz'mim had finished his last run and spun his craft
in the direction of the unknown that was still hard to see and not
showing up on his scanners. The communication light had gone out
meaning Ba'el had switched to a different channel. That sense of
dread was starting to wash over him. The same feeling he felt in
the Dominion War so many years ago. His antenna were starting to
get twitchy and his gut was saying run.
The Andorian first officer jumped slightly when the comm chimed
Ba'el: =/\= Ba'el to Ch'Nilmani =/\=
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= Go ahead. =/\=
Ba'el: =/\= You're not going to believe this, but we just got a
request from engineering. =/\=
Yeah. He didn't believe this. They were out there in two worker
bees with something unknown and looking more being made than a
natural space object.
Ch'Nilmani: =/\=Oh, did they now? What is it? =/\=
Ba'el: ::Proceeds to relate her conversation with Shimisi:: =/\=
And that pretty well sums it up. What should we do
Commander?=/\=
Ch'Nilmani: ::sighing:: =/\= Well, sensors are inside the hull so
there isn't much we're going to see. We can make a quick pass to
see if anything is on top of that section causing their issues.
=/\=
Ba'el: =/\= Well I think this will fit the definition of "quick
and dirty". Ba'el to Motha and S'Rrrrell =/\=
Motha: response
S'Rrrrell: response
Ba'el: =/\= We're a bit rushed for time out here, so best I can
give you is a quick sweep before we will need to return to the
shuttle bay. Will that be sufficient? =/\=
Motha: response
S'Rrrrell: response
SydT: =/\= How much time do we have? =/\=
Shimisi: response
So'Mior: response
Diz'mim stayed out of the conversation as there was nothing to add
and Ba'el was handling herself really well. When her pod began to
move to make the sweep, Diz followed keeping close and giving his
scanners a more wider angle than the other. That way they covered
more. There were definitely particles clinging to the ship around
where the sensors would be so that could cause the problems. The
Andorian tried his best to keep his eyes on the object that was
still getting closer. That was definitely a ship.
Ba'el: =/\= Motha, S'Rrrrell, SydT, I hope you got what you
needed, because I am out of time. =/\=
There was no communication. There was no chance of communication.
The beam of brilliant light that flashed out sent Diz'mim's heart
into his throat. He recognized an energy blast. He was far enough
away that he had full view of Ba'el dodge out of the way as the
beam struck the Constitution. The Andorian grimaced.
Ba'el: =/\= This is where the fun begins Commander. =/\=
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= You have no idea. Move it! Back to the ship! =/\=
The two pods took off tracing the hull of the galaxy class
starship trying to be invisible against the mass of the vessel.
Just in case they were the ones being targeted, Ch'Nilmani's brain
went into overdrive as another beam lashed out and remove their
landing pad from the vessel.
oO Frak. Oo
Ch'Nilmani: =/\=Under side of the ship. Put the Connie between us
and the enemy. =/\=
The two zipped off until they were in the shadow of the saucer.
Ba'el: =/\= Main shuttlebay is gone! Now what do we do? =/\=
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= Breath. We're safe for now. =/\=
Ba'el: =/\= And it keeps on getting better. It seems my pod was
damaged by that second blast. The pods hull has been compromised
and I am slowly losing atmosphere. But how are you doing
Commander? =/\=
Diz had to give the Klingon some credit.
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= =/\=
Rajel: ::pressing her comm badge.:: =/\= Rajel to Diz'mim, now
would be a good time to make your way inside. =/\=
Ch'Nilmani: oO Obviously. Oo =/\= Can't. Ba'el's pod is damaged.
=/\=
Rajel: =/\= She got hit? Damn.. Can you tow her? Our tractor beams
are not reliably functional right now. =/\=
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= Unknown. We're still trying to figure that out.
=/\=
Rajel: =/\= Do what you can we don't know when or if they start
shooting again. Rajel out. =/\=
With the channel closed, Diz ran scenarios. He checked on the
tractor beam reading and it was fluctuating a lot. He wasn't sure
if a tow would help not to mention where would they tow to?
Nothing was coming to mind at that moment.
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= So, since we didn't plan to space walk, we don't
have suits. By any chance do you have an emergency one in your
pod? I know I don't. =/\=
Ba'el: response
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= Well, one option is try to get the Constitution's
transporters to lock on us and beam us out but that could scramble
us, but that requires lowering the shields. I know Jalana would
try it if we asked but I don't want to jeopardize the ship.
Ba'el: response
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= My other idea is crazy but could work. =/\=
Ba'el: response
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= The average humanoid can last 15 seconds in the
vacuum of space before losing consciousness and 90 seconds before
death. We get you as close to the a hatch as possible, key it open
remotely, and then you jump. I give you a nice bump with my pod to
make you cross that gap quickly before the 15 seconds are up,
giving you time to pressurize. =/\=
((OOC: Yes, I googled how long a human could stay alive in the
vacuum of space. lol ))
Ba'el: response
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= I didn't say it was a good idea. =/\=
Ba'el: response
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= I'm all antenna if you have another. I'm not
quite keen on playing baseball with my lieutenant. =/\=
Ba'el: response
