((Sickbay, Deck 5 - USS Icarus))

If she could have been able to reach through her helmet she would be rubbing her eyes in frustration. Part of her wanted to suggest that they ask the Aleek-Om to just beam the Icarus’ hyperwarp drive into space. But with the Lattice Alliance here they were the last people she’d want being able to scoop something like that up.

Lystra: I just did a test to see how many solid transporter locks we can get. Any more than four and the lock becomes unstable on all of them. Unless they can give us more power I think that’s the best we’re going to get. We don’t have any more power units.

Foster: Ok, grab four, right now. I’m checking if we can… you know, make some magic happen.

Pretak: Let's pick up the other three, we can't waste time.

Douffet: I’m fresh out of magic, but I can help wrangle groups of four and keep the process going

S’Jenes:  Lieutenant... transporter lock acquisition is not the limiting factor. Significant power consumption occurs only during matter stream conversion.

She nodded and locked onto the people they told her were ready for the next attempt, including Lieutenant Byrnes and looked up at Cade with a focused expression.

Lystra: Lock is holding. Ready when you are, or we’re going to have to wait until they send us more power and hope that damned engine doesn’t activate.

Foster: Grab four. I want to track the power curve while you grab them, and how much time it takes.

Douffet: Barb, you stay. ::pointing to three others::: You, you and you, join her.

Byrnes: We'll be fine. Just keep breathing and it'll be done in no time.

S’Jenes: Recording. Pattern acquisition remains stable. EPS load is nominal until transport initiation.

Foster: Alright, the pattern shift is stabilized. ::He turned towards S’Jenes and Lystra:: I think we can do this. The signal lock isn’t what’s draining power – it’s the actual transport where the power drastically drops.  The system is limiting only to the signal locks it knows it can process. So… Lystra, I need you to de-activate the system’s safety protocols.

Pretak: I guess it's useless to ask if that is safe,.. since you're deactivating them.

Lystra: ::she looked up at Cade with a raised brow:: Why not. After all it’s not like I have a problem with being reckless sometimes. What’s one more.

S’jenes: Analysis confirms the transporter's safety algorithms are limiting signal acquisition based upon projected transport power requirements rather than available pattern storage.

Foster: Ensign S’jenes I want you to connect the Emergency Medical Transporter with the cargo transporter with the Aleek-Om.

Pretak: I'll get the groups. If something is to happen, it better be sooner rather than later.

Lystra: Thank you. So, what’s the play here, Cade?

S’jenes: Understood.

Foster: Yeah. ::He nodded.:: The idea is to feed all the data into the Aleek Om, catch each lock, one by one with the emergency medical transporter we are currently using, feed them into the Aleek-Om’s cargo transporter and then once we’ve grabbed every signal lock, initiate transport with the Aleek-Om’s transporters and the Aleek-Om’s power.

She tilted her head slightly and briefly at that. It was actually a solid plan for an insane hail mary but it wasn’t like they hadn’t tried crazy things before. She rubbed at her EV suit’s gloves the same way she normal did with the gloves she always wore, out of habit and focused on deactivating the safeties. She’d managed to bypass one of the transporter’s safety mechanisms already.

Lystra: That could work.

S’jenes: Locked in, sir.

Foster: Alright, that’s the plan, let’s get on it!

Pretak: I'll focus on your success, as it'll mean our survival.

Montenari: ::Speaking up:: What can I do to help Doc?

The Boslic crouched down in front of the medical transporter and felt along the sides for the seam she was looking for. When she found it she watched the front panel pop out with a click before she grabbed it and moved it out of the way so she could access the inner workings.

Lystra: This might take a few minutes. I can see some damage in here, probably from the hyperjumps.

Douffet: Yes, let’s. ::Turning to Frank:: Can you help me do checks on the ones coming back into phase? I can’t hold the tricorder, but we have to make sure they are ready to go to the Aleek-Om. And we need someone to inform the ship of the folks we will be sending there. Barb, let’s get you scanned so we can get you over to the Aleek-Om. Then from there you can help make sure everyone is making it over safe and sound. Is that okay with you?

Montanari: Can do Doc! :: Moves to take up a position next to Douffet::

Brynes: Absolutely. I'll welcome everyone as they come over. ::She looked to the scanner and held still.::

Douffet: ::To Pretak:: Can you help keep everyone from panicking? Tell them we’ve got this and we are working on getting everyone back and to the other ship.

Pretak: I'll make sure of it. After all, the first success will encourage that it'll work for everyone else.

Brynes: Hope nothing got mixed up in there while we were out of phase.

She tuned out the conversation of those still unphased a moment so she could focus on her own task when she heard S’Jenes hail the other ship.

S'Jenes: =/\= Icarus sickbay to Aleek-Om Bridge. Ensign S'Jenes. Prepare your cargo transporters to receive remote pattern locks from our Emergency Medical Transporter. Please refrain from energizing until I give the command. =/\=

Felbri: =/\= Got it. =/\=

Kvash: =/\= I'll keep watching. =/\=

S'Jenes: =/\= We will relay each acquired transporter signature to your pattern buffer. Once every life sign—including my own—has been transferred, execute transport. Please confirm readiness. =/\=

Felbri: =/\= Ready. =/\=

Lystra managed to perform a temporary bypass of the transporter’s safeties and stood back up. She gave Cade and S’Jenes a nod.

Lystra: Alright, safeties bypassed. Let’s get them out of here now.

Foster: Response

As each of the out-of-phase personnel entered the area she ran through the targeting procedure as quickly as she could until the transporter registered that the locks held. She initiated the transport and watched the large area glow blue for a few seconds longer than a normal cycle but eventually it blinked out.

She looked around and there weren’t any other ghostly uniforms she could see anywhere and she smiled at her shipmates. S’Jenes called the Aleek-Om again.

S'Jenes: =/\= Ensign S'Jenes to Aleek-Om Bridge. All unphased personnel have been successfully relayed to your cargo transporter. Pattern integrity is nominal. You are cleared to energize all stored patterns simultaneously. Following completion of the transport, acquire and beam my pattern directly to Cargo Bay One. =/\=

Felbri: =/\= It will be done. =/\=

Felbri: ::to S'Jenes:: =/\= Who are these people Ensign S'Jenes? The children of the original crew? =/\=

S'Jenes: =/\= response =/\=

Lystra: Might be easier if you just beam over there as well Ensign. Cade and I can wrap things up.

She initiated transport once more and watched S’Jenes disappear.

((ooc: Since S’Jenes has responded to tags for people that had already beamed over to the Aleek-Om and are in it’s cargo bay, this made sense for continuity.))

Foster: Response

She was about to give Cade a high five for being able to pull off a trick like that. After all, this just went to show you didn’t always need the safety features of a ship. Jalana’s concerned voice interrupted her musing though.

Rajel: =/\= Rajel to anyone on the ship. The hyperdrive has been activated for reasons unknown to us. We are unable to stop its destruction. Grab what you could find and evacuate immediately. Rajel out. =/\=

She tsked and let out a soft curse in Boslic.

Lystra: Figures. Alright, what do you want to grab aside from the obvious like the PADDs? Should we try and recover that bot? Or did you want to take a tribble for an autopsy?

She had a feeling Cade might be concerned by the presence of tribbles on a ship like this and maybe there might be something worth studying in tribbles who had gone through multiple hyperwarp jumps.

Foster: Response

She nodded and quickly grabbed what she could that Cade had suggested and piled them up in the area they’d used for transport. She thought for a moment then ran into the office and grabbed as many personal items as she could find, like that photo Cade had shown them and added them to the pile.

Lystra: Alright, I think that’s everything. I’m going to beam us directly to the Aleek-Om’s sickbay.  Last chance to bring the medical bot. ::she smirked::

Foster: Response

Lystra: Alright, hang on.

Foster: Response

She locked onto everything in the transport zone as well as herself and set the transporter to cycle a few seconds after initiation. She quickly joined Cade in the middle of all the things they were bringing with them and felt the deck almost give out from under her feet as something exploded. The shimmer of the transporter enveloped the beam out spot, taking a few seconds longer than usual. Just enough time to let her see the far wall abruptly rupture into a ball of plasma.

((Sickbay, Aleek-Om))

The shimmer faded and she stumbled back, arms held in front of her as the transport completed. Thankfully they’d beamed out in time but that had been too damned close.

Lystra: Something tells me the Icarus didn’t go to hyperwarp this time. That was too close, even for me. ::she exhaled sharply as she removed her helmet::

Foster: Response
