(( Sick Bay - USS Icarus ))

Barb watched the others work, it was fascinating and thrilling, but also nerve wrecking. If this didn't work she didn't know how else they would be brought back into this phase. She didn't want to be invisible forever.

Foster: Check it one more time. I want to make sure we’ve got him before we try to bring him over and back.

Pretak: Everybody, keep out of sickbay! We don't want to caus any interference with their rescue attempt.

Why did this take so long? She knew this work needed time, but that did not make it easier hoping to see Frank return safely. Hearing Pretak she moved a bit further back. Of course that was not by the door at all she had snuck in earlier and he apparently had not noticed. She would so not make a beep now and be noticed, because she needed to see what happened. But she kept far away to not be an interference.

She watched as Frank reappeared and he looked in one piece. It took a moment for S'Jenes to "poke him" and then he was declared a successful rephasing. With a smile, Barb exhaled. What a relief. She briefly looked up when the light flickered, just ever so slightly and seeing that face in the ceiling again she shook her head and looked back to Frank. Happy to know he was back to normal.

S’Jenes: :: looks to Foster:: It appears to be a success. ::looks at Lieutenant Brynes:: Are you ready to come to the future, Lieutenant?

She perked up looking to S'Jenes. It took a moment but then a bright smile washed over her face and she nodded.

Byrnes: Damn right I am.

Whenever that future was. She actually had no idea. She hadn't asked. Did it matter? Uh yes, duh! Who knew what was new and unknown to her. But right now all she wanted was not to be invisible any more.

Lystra: Technically, they already are. They’re just out of phase but I think I get what you mean. ::to S’Jenes::

Douffet: ::Pointing to Lystra:: She’s got a point.

Barb chuckled slightly and stepped past the door waving outside in a 'see you on the other side' kind of way and headed to the platform with a little hop.

Pretak/Montanari: Response

Foster: Yes, once we have both let’s lock in the settings and start getting people over to the Allek-Om.

S’Jenes: This log will act as a good baseline for settings regarding future transports. :: He taps across the LCARS display:: resetting for the next transport and ready on your command, sir.

Barb looked to S'Jenes as he explained and tilted her head at the strange display. Fascinating, as her colleage Sek would say.

Lystra: I’ve got a lock on the Lieutenant. It’s stable since we made adjustments based on what occurred with him. ::she gestured towards Frank:

Douffet: Barb, you ready?

She just so heard him and raised a finger for a thumbs up.

Brynes: ::nodding once:: Locked and ready, Doc.

And nervous. So nervous. But Frank was fine, this would be great. im.

Pretak/Montanari: Response?

Before they could start there was another voice came out of nowhere. She had by now deducted that those were newer comm systems, without needing the foldable little unit.

Shimisi: =/\= Shimisi to Foster, we have a problem =/\=

Problem?

Foster: =/\= What kind of problem? =/\=

Great question.

Shimisi: =/\= Something has activated the hyperwarp drive. We’re trying to contain it, but you need to speed up the process. We might have issues sending you additional power, so don’t count on it fully. =/\=

Barb's eyes widened. What?

Lystra: Oh, great. Must be a Tuesday. ::she grumbled:: I can confirm, Cade. Power to the transporter just dipped slightly. We may have to try beaming them in groups faster than we anticipated. ::to Frank:: So, if the hyperwarp drive turns on we’ll all end up jumping through subspace again…right?

Douffet: Looks like we need to get a move on.

Byrnes: We can't go back there after all we went through to get back here.

She did try to stay calm, mostly by digging her nails into her palm. It worked kind of. At least to the outside.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes: Response

Foster: So we have to get as many as possible as fast as possible before we all end up stuck in another subspace rift. ::he looked towards Lystra:: How many can we lock onto with our current set up?

Lystra: I just did a test to see how many solid transporter locks we can get. Any more than four and the lock becomes unstable on all of them. Unless they can give us more power I think that’s the best we’re going to get. We didn’t have any more power units.

Foster: Ok, grab four, right now. I’m checking if we can… you know, make some magic happen.

Douffet: I’m fresh out of magic, but I can help wrangle groups of four and keep the process going.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes: Response

Lystra: Lock is holding. Ready when you are, or we’re going to have to wait until they send us more power and hope that damned engine doesn’t activate.

Barb nodded slightly. .oO Yes, please don't activate that thing again. Oo.

Foster: Grab four. I want to track the power curve while you grab them, and how much time it takes.

Douffet: Barb, you stay. ::pointing to three others::: You, you and you, join her.

She nodded slightly staying where she was and took a deep breath. This was Starfleet and of the future by all the talk she had heard. They would be able ot help she knew it. She had to know it. She looked to the Icarus crew member who joined her with a little nod.

Byrnes: We'll be fine. Just keep breathing and it'll be done in no time.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra: Response

And then it already happened. She felt that tingling sensation in her whole body, not any clue on how long that took. When she reappeared she waited for a moment, since she had seen how it had worked for Frank.

Foster: Alright, the pattern shift is stabilized. ::He turned towards S’Jenes and Lystra:: I think we can do this. The signal lock isn’t what’s draining power – it’s the actual transport where the power drastically drops. The system is limiting only to the signal locks it knows it can process. So… Lystra, I need you to de-activate the system’s safety protocols.

Barb exhaled when the older man, who seemed to be a doctor by the way he talked, said they were stabilized. She smiled to the crew members who had stood with her and then left the platform to make room for the next group, a bit unsure what to do now.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra: Response

Foster: Yeah. ::He nodded.:: The idea is to feed all the data into the Aleek Om, catch each lock, one by one with the emergency medical transporter we are currently using, feel them into the Aleek-Om’s cargo transporter and then once we’ve grabbed every signal lock, initiate transport with the Aleek-Om’s transporters and the Aleek-Om’s power.

Ah so they would be transported to the other ship. Good to know.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra: Response

Foster: Alright, that’s the plan, let’s get on it!

Douffet: Yes, let’s. ::Turning to Frank:: Can you help me do checks on the ones coming back into phase? I can’t hold the tricorder, but we have to make sure they are ready to go to the Aleek-Om. And we need someone to inform the ship of the folks we will be sending there.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra/Foster: Response

He gestured to her. She immediately snapped her eyes to him.

Douffet: Barb, let’s get you scanned so we can get you over to the Aleek-Om. Then from there you can help make sure everyone is making it over safe and sound. Is that okay with you?

She exhaled and stepped over to Douffet with a nod.

Brynes: Absolutely. I'll welcome everyone as they come over. ::She looked to the scanner and held still.::

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra/Foster: Response

She was not a mind reader but even she felt the rising tension. Everyone seemed eager to re-shift.

Douffet: ::To Pretak:: Can you help keep everyone from panicking? Tell them we’ve got this and we are working on getting everyone back and to the other ship.

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra/Foster: Response

Barb exhaled again and looked to the scanner when Douffet started scanning her once that was taken care of. She peeked at the display.

Brynes: Hope nothing got mixed up in there while we were out of phase.

Douffet/Montenari: Response

Brynes: ::nodding:: Yes, Doctor. I'm feeling fine. I was nervous earlier but I'm better now.

Douffet/Montenari: Response

Brynes: Happy to hear that. I'm all ready to get transported to the other ship then. ::She looked around briefly:: Who will do that?

Pretak/Montenari/S’jenes/Lystra/Foster: Response

((OOC: I assume at this point that she is being transported to the Aleek Om, so I'll skip over :) ))

(( Aleek Om - Cargo Room ))

When Barb materialized she looked around with big eyes. She had not seen anything yet, just that transporter felt different. She couldn't even say why. And this room looked different too. Sure a room with cargo, but the wall panels and the design was not like the Icarus. She stepped off the platform.

Brynes: Oh my. Toto we're not in Kansas any more.

Any: If applies
