(( USS Icarus - Deck 3))
Once the line of the communication with Diz'mim closed Jalana
established magnetism with her boots again and with some oompfh
and grunting pulled the doors open. Looking through the gap she
grinned. An office. Jackpot. Maybe.
She floated through an array of PADDs, mugs, and some other
trinkets like a small model of the Icarus in gold, to the desk to
check for drawers. The desk too floated as it was not rooted in
the floor, just like in her office. Holding the edge of the table
she pulled the drawer open. Empty.
McCray: So this is what they called ready rooms back then?
Rajel: At least the one I am in. Where you are is what they called
the bridge. ::She grinned cheekily.::
Yirah: Response
McCray: I’m still not findin’ anythin’ that would give us any more
information, but that just means I’m not lookin’ in the right
places.
She opened another drawer that also was empty, however when she
opened the third a stack of papers floated out. Actual papers. She
grinned and grabbed them from the air.
Raj: I found something but not sure yet if it is useful.
Yirah: Response
A brief flicker of light moved past her, she assumed it came from
Blaine or Indrid searching the bridge, and flipped through the
papers. The handwriting was atrocious and that came from a doctor.
She could make out the one or other word, mostly names.
B-something Doauffet... Douffet? Lovin... Lavin L-sopmething,
Frank Montenegro? No Montanari. There where dozens of more, a long
list and each of them had something else written next to them,
that Jalana couldn't make out. What were these names? Who where
they?
McCray: Anyone seeing this chair move or am I goin’ crazy?
Hearing the voice, Jalana pushed herself from the edge of the
table, sending it float away while she turned and floated the
other way and out of the office, the papers still in her hand.
Rajel: Which chair?
She asked but saw it right away. No, no he was right it actually
was moving. As if someone sat in it and twirled it.
Yirah/McCray: Response
She approached and squinted. Did it just change directions. She
switched from night vision to the scanner in her eye and furrowed
her brow. If she was actually standing she'd be crouching down to
have a better look but since she was floating she just did that in
mid air.
Rajel: No, I saw it too. ::A moment later.:: Indrid... scan the
chair for me. I need to know if I'm seeing things.
Yirah/McCray: Response
The Trill nodded slightly. Not too much since she didn't want to
bop up and down. He couldn't know what she was seeing of course so
she had to tell him.
Rajel: I'm seeing traces of Teleron radiation.
Yirah/McCray: Response
She looked around the chair and then the bridge and frowned seeing
more of it, but decaying. She floated following the trace and
blinked when she saw where it came from.
Rajel: I see more of it.. towards the door and beyond, but it
seems to be decaying the concentration is lower... fading. ::She
said her eyes still on the doors before she turned again to check
on the scan around the chair.:: If you have any theories, out with
it.
Yirah/McCray: Response
