((Main Engineering, USS Constitution-B, Nearing the Trip Depot))

The Rigar Nebula had been absolutely fascinating as much as it had been frustrating from an engineering standpoint. The impact that the Chrondite on their systems as it clumped onto the hull and the plasma manifolds and pretty much every gap, vent or nook it could settle in had been an annoyance. However it had also been highly educational. From a ship design standpoint it would be interesting to see if the data they collected might have an impact on future improvements.

They were now on their way to the Tucker Shipyards. They were looking forward to seeing the Trip Depot. They’d heard about it, but had spent their time with the Starfleet Corps of Engineers on Utopia Planitia mostly and only visited a couple other fleet yards. Trip Depot wasn’t one of them so they were excited to see it. Since they were heading to a shipyard, Hexa had chosen to bring their model of a California Class today as the workhorse was an underrated but vastly pivotal part of their logistics throughout Starfleet. Handling all the jobs rarely ever tasked to any of the ‘flagships’ in the fleet. The ‘dirty’ jobs as some had referred to it. The Bynars respected the design of the class, while clunky to some, it was like one of those old Earth tugboats. Reliable and able to move ships vastly more massive than itself. The USS California buzzed around their heads while they worked at their console near the warp core.

Shimisi: Everyone, please, give me your attention. :: the people around stopped their work and looked at him. He felt a bit intimidated but he'd called for it. :: We're getting near Tucker station, we'll have some shore leave and soon we'll get our skeleton shifts scheduled. The station engineers will do most of the job, but we need to know what and how they do to be ready the moment we need to get out. You've earned a rest, but I expect you to keep up with the ship's condition. Aside from that, enjoy your time off when you have it.

The duo turned in unison to face Shimisi while keeping themselves in their perfect symmetrical positions to one another. The model zipped idly between them before it hovered in between and behind the pair facing Shimisi.

Hexa: We are looking forward

Peta: to seeing the shipyards. We have

Hexa: never visited, but it is well

Peta: regarded back at Utopia

Hexa: Planitia.

Perax/Benjamin: Response (if any)

Shimisi: If you have any questions or need anything, just tell me.

Perax/Benjamin: Response (if any)

The duo turned slightly to regard one another while their cybernetics squeaked with the binary language they used with one another before they looked back at Shimisi.

Hexa: The plasma manifold vents,

Peta: could use a purge,

Hexa: as well as some minor repairs.

Peta: The Chrondite appears to have caused some,

Hexa: physical abrasion to the vents prior to,

Peta: its removal after we left the nebula.

Perax/Benjamin/Shimisi: Response

The pair briefly accessed the damage control logs from their stay in the nebula then looked at the others.

Hexa: We think the Chrondite,

Peta: also might have affected other external,

Hexa: orifices on the hull, such as

Peta: the torpedo tubes, fore and,

Hexa: aft. As well as cargo and shuttle

Peta: bay doors. They should be,

Hexa: checked as well.

There was also a concern among the two of them that the main deflector might have some cosmetic damage at the very least but they didn't think that was considered a priority.

Perax/Benjamin/Shimisi: Response
