((OOC: Jess and I discussed a new PNPC who could interact on this mission since Selok is well in the background of this mission))

((Deck 2, Crew quarters, USS Aleek-Om))

Victoria woke up suddenly and stretched. Dropping down from the upper bunk She grabbed her uniform, the dark all black one. The only thing she liked about it was that it didn’t clash with either of her tartans. She dressed and made a mental check list. oO uniform shirt, uniform skirt, sash, clan broach Oo She technically didn’t know if it was regulation, but no one had called her out on her cultural accessories yet, possibly because she had kept a low profile. Standing in front of the tiny mirror in the wall, she quickly brushed her hair free of tangles.

She stepped in front of the door before she realized she had forgotten to add her shoes to the mental checklist and walked back to put them on. Finally, she left the cramped quarters behind. She walked down the corridor to the mess hall, and after a brief breakfast of porridge, she made her way to the bridge.

She reflected just how bored she was. oO See the Galaxy they said, it’ll be fun they said. If I ever get out from behind a desk tha’ is. Oo

Victoria had joined Starfleet’s intelligence division in the hopes of James Bond like adventure. Starfleet Academy had quickly cured her of that notion, but the idea of sitting and doing nothing while others visited mystery planets and searched ghost ships irritated her.

((Bridge, Deck 1, USS Aleek-Om))

When the turbolift doors opened there was a Klingon and an Elaysian already deep in conversation. She slipped quietly into a nearby chair so as not to interrupt or disturb their conversation.

Kvash: If that happens, there's a risk we could get pulled in, but the risk to the Icarus is higher both because he is likely closer to the rift location and because he isn't powered. The Aleek-Om has a decent chance, even at his size, of escaping.

She perked up and sat up straighter. oO What?! Could somethin’ actually be happening Oo

Felbri: If something like that does happen how long would we have to transport everyone back on board?

oO Oh, it’s meerly a hypothetical. How exciting. Oo Of course her inner voice sounded anything but excited.

Kvash: Anywhere from thirty seconds to half an hour. We don't know. So, you're right, I shouldn't get distracted by angry stars.

Felbri: response

Kvash: But the people who's specialty it is will love the data when we get back.

That comment made Victoria smirk then the look became a frown. oO Intel would love the data, but having to work on it would be a reminder that’ I stayed behind and missed out on one more sight. Oo

Felbri: response

Kvash: Actually, I'm going to adjust the sensors and see if I can get a better reading on any spatial disturbances. We might be able to get more data.

Kvash: Thank you.

Felbri: response

To be honest, she wasn’t sure why she was on this mission. She didn’t have that much to do, her shore leave while it might not be as exciting as Starbase 1 or 118, or 104, but there was at least a minor miracle’s chance that perhaps Tucker Station might have enough of a Celtic community to find a Cèilidh.

Sinclair: Spare me a wee bit o’ the long range sensor pallets fur long range starship traffic. I’m sure tactical wuid enjoy knowin’ who is frequenting th’ area. Especially if any start heading this direction.

Felbri/Kvash: response

Sinclair: I’ve bin here fo’ a few minutes. Listening tae yer conversation.

Felbri/Kvash: response

Sinclair: So, ::she pulled up the readings on the sector and overlaid the warp signatures:: whit is th’ probably o’ a subspace rift swallowin’ up th’ ship?

She turned in the chair to look at them.

Felbri/Kvash: response

She turned back to look at the sector map. She took a moment to bring up comparisons of known warp signatures.

Sinclair: Currently, thir are six vessels oan sensors. Th’ warp signatures may naw be completely reit. Civilians can buy from other species and governments, but it looks lek two are Bajoran, and three are Federation civilian, and one, it’s naw in the usual files.

Felbri/Kvash: response
