(( Bridge - Constitution ))
While T'Seva talked with her and BLaine kept an eye on the
progress Jalana prepared a message to the Kameryan ship. Right now
she trusted data packages more than a video call, it seemed to
have an easier time to get through to the other side. She laid out
that they had issues with their scannes and comms, building on the
good will and hope of this group of Kameryans being friendly which
so far they had shown soon as they had been able to communicate a
link between their people. She also asked if they would be willing
to share their findings to be able to improve on their systems,
after all the Kameryans seemed to have less issues with the
nebula.
Rajel: Blaine, I send a data package to your station, could you
send it to our Kameryan friends please?
McCray: Of course. ::he said with a nod.::
Rajel: Thank you. How far are we?
McCray: The data package has been sent. ::he looked back to Jalana
and nodded.::
She returned the nod and checked the chrondite progress, 98%.
Rajel: Alright we are close.
Shimisi: =/\= Shimisi to captain =/\=
Rajel: =/\= Jalana here, what do you have? =/\=
Shimisi: =/\= The process seems to be working, I've redirected
some energy and data through the bridge servers directly from
forward sensors, so you must be getting proper readings anytime
now. It should also help increasing transmissions quality. =/\=
The Trill nodded and smiled. It was good to have official
confirmation from Engineering that it was working.
Rajel: =/\= I look forward to that. We have noticed that there is
a second plasma beam joining the efforts. =/\=
Shimisi: =/\= Two beams? =/\= :: Checking systems he noticed
science had initiated a second beam and it seems to be working ::
=/\= Oh, I see, Science must have found something that is
improving our work. =/\=
Rajel: =/\= We have some great minds on this it seems. ::She
smiled.:: It definitely made the progress faster. I can't wait to
stop boiling. =/\=
Shimisi: =/\= As soon as we're free, I'll reduce the heat on the
outer hull and reduce power to the EPS relays I've overloaded.
I'll bring them to 70% of normal operation to allow the system to
cool down. It shouldn't affect general performance and I can bring
them to normal operation on your requests. =/\=
Rajel: =/\= Yes please, the bridge has gotten rather hot being so
close to the hull. Give the system some cool down time before we
return to normal. Thanks Mingxing, Rajel out. =/\=
She looked to T'Seva to give her a sign that it was close to time
to reverse magnetize the hull. T'Seva turned to her console.
T'Seva: three, two, one...hull reverse magnetization in place.
Hull temperature returning to normal, but that will take some
time.
McCray: Why do I feel like a long-tailed cat in a room full of
rocking chairs? ::he muttered, shaking his head.::
Rajel: It makes sense, any of these chairs could start rocking and
start a chain reaction.
T'Seva: I am seeing no significant chrondite on the hull.
McCray: More good news.
Rajel: Good to hear. ::She exhaled.::
T'Seva: But we'll have to keep up the reverse magnetization and
the beam until we're out of the area. And record this protocol for
future ships.
McCray: That shouldn’t overstress the ship, should it?
Rajel: Let's hope so. With those damages we have, we may as well
head to Tucker Station when we are done here. In that way
overstressing would be fixed too.
T'Seva: Science deserves ribbons for this one, just saying.
McCray: They really earned their pay with that notion.
Rajel: They did fantastic, HQ will get a detailed list for Ribbon
suggestions from me, feel free to hand in any suggestions as well
and I'll pass them on.
So'Mior: =/\= Ensign So’Mior to bridge. The Chrondite has been
cleared from the hull and you are clear to engage shields or
systems. =/\=
Hearing those news made Jalana relax in her seat. This would help
to check on her people she hoped and to communicate with the
Kameryan ship.
Rajel: =/\= Thank you, So'Mior, you have done great work down
there. All of you. Will we have to keep the adjustments? =/\=
So’Mior: =/\= Yes. Keeping the deflector shield active should
prevent any particle re-adherence. We can power down the particle
beams. =/\=
Rajel: =/\= Good news. ::She nodded up to T'Seva.:: Then disengage
the beams and we'll make sure to keep the reverse magnetism going
to repel the chrondite. =/\=
So'Mior: Response
Rajel: =/\= We have requested help from our Kameryan friends,
since their ship seems to had an easier time with adjustment in
this nebula. With some luck we may receive some data for your
department so you can see if you can combine efforts, to avoid
these issues in the future. =/\=
So'Mior: Response
Rajel: =/\= I'll let you know when I hear back from them. Good
work, So'Mior. Please make sure to include the names of those who
helped in your report. Rajel out. =/\=
She wanted to make sure to properly reward them all. She kept
looking at her armrest console, if there was anything from their
'friends' when Blaine's console beeped.
Blaine: Response
At that she jumped from the chair, full attention.
Rajel: Let's hope that our connection is better. T'Seva, record it
just in case we need to deciper anything. On screen, Blaine.
T'Seva/Blaine: Response
Jalana looked at the screen, her artificial eye looked a bit more
green than the other, her her fiery hair was glued in parts to her
face from the heat wave. The rest framed her head in locks, being
pushed behind her shoulders. She took a deep breath as the screen
showed an orage skinned man with the yellow flame mark on his
forehead. Red eyes rested on her. She noted the bright red hair in
a dreadlock style that surpassed his shoulders. The Zinera she had
met before had had a more androgynous appearance but the common
traits were obvious. She was relieved that the connection was so
much clearer than before. The few interferences were almost merely
cosmetic.
N'bel: =/\= I am Captain N'bel Vulikan Zinera of the Kameryan ship
Fenix Ignus. Are you the captain? =/\=
Rajel: ::smiling:: =/\= I am. My name is Jalana Rajel, Commandant
of the Constitution. It's a pleasure to meet you N'bel. =/\=
N'bel: =/\= Response =/\=
It was a fair question. She had no reason to not tell the other
Captain.
Rajel: =/\= We took a shortcut through the nebula to reach Pelleus
faster. However we stumbled over the planet in here we had never
heard of. So we stopped for a bit of exploring. We were not aware
that someone else was already here since our Sensors have
difficulties with the unique make up of this nebula. =/\=
T'Seva/Blaine: Response
N'bel: =/\= Response =/\=
Jalana exhaled and briefly looked over her shoulder to T'Seva
before looking back to N'bel.
Rajel: =/\= Thank you. I appreciate your help. We'll let
Engineering know to expect your party. If you have any information
for our Science department that will help us cope or offer some
opportunity to research I'd be grateful too. I do not know what
you are doing on the planet, we did not have a chance to see if
our comms work now, but we have a few scientists who would love to
be able to research a bit more. =/\= ::She looked to T'Seva with a
quiet.:: Check in on Indrid and his team now that we heard from
Cade?
T'Seva/Blaine: Response
N'bel: =/\= Response =/\=
She perked up at that. So that was why they were here?
Rajel: =/\= If we can help in any way... =/\=
N'bel: =/\= Response =/\=
