PNPC Maiman Terpes: You can trust the woman behind the mask

It wasn't usual for Maiman to talk with the CO of the ship so she used that chance and the fact that both have gone through the same to have a talk with her to build a bit of confidence, specially from her to the Commodore.
Terpes: Well, with treatment almost over, I'm almost ready to get back to normality, whatever that is for us. So, this gathering seemed like a good one to start with it.
Rajel: Yes, I agree. I'm glad the therapy works well for you. I still have a couple of gaps but I'm mostly back to normal too.
Terpes: You think I did too much with the mask? I know it doesn't fit the theme, but that's what the cape is for.
Rajel: Oh no no, the mask is great, it goes very well with your dress.
Terpes: Thanks oO She obviously saw it in a moment I flung the cape before:: I wanted it to be a surprise for later, but I have doubts if it suits well as I believe.
Rajel: The colour suits you well. Don't worry, you look lovely, Maiman. I hope you will enjoy the party.
Terpes: I'm sure I will. I'll come back to you later, I guess we can then show off together.
Rajel: Oh yes of course we will. Can't have a party about sparkle and shine without adding my own. :: She winks to Maiman.::
Terpes: See you around then.
Maiman left her side and moved away to the assembled people on the room. She tugged the cape to be sure her dress was not revealed and looked around through the mask recognizing a few of the people around. As she was walking a male approached her.
Perax: ::he spoke tentatively:: hello.
Terpes: Ey, hi! Who might that be?
Perax: I’m Leran Perax.
Terpes: Perax! ... Perax? :: She thought for a moment but didn't recall meeting him before :: I'm not sure this works like this, but ... I'm Maiman Terpes. A pleasure to meet you.
Perax: Don’t you find it slightly creepy that it’s hard to tell who is who?
Terpes: I see what you mean, but I believe it's the purpose of it. To mingle as equals, not worrying about who is it, but in our case, that won't be exactly like that.
Perax: Response
Terpes: I was affected by our last situation so sorry if I don't remember having meet you before.
Perax: Response
Terpes: At least this :: pointing to the mask :: keeps my face from showing what I feel so it helps being more forthcoming in some aspects.
Perax: Response
Terpes: Do you like these kind of parties? Or is there any other kind you prefer?
She was still covered by the cape and her arms moved slowly to not reveal what was behind it. She noticed the man a bit hesitant and she wanted to reassure him so she lifted the mask a bit.
Terpes: Don't worry, I'm with the couseling department, you can trust me despite that I'm wearing this.
