(( Bridge - Constitution ))
The center chair briefly disappeared and a new version appeared in
its place. That one had a more loose arm that she now could pull
towards herself to check the controls and screens without having
to sit down in it. Just when she activated the screen she was
shown an incoming signal. With a button click it showed as coming
from the planet again. But this was different. She looked up to
T'Seva seeing that she was still talking with their guys out there
she checked herself what it was about and played the audio.
It was difficult to make out, just random syllables and ..
numbers? She furrowed her brows and was about to rewind the
message when she realized it was a repeated message. And the
second time she heard different syllables. Now with her interest
piqued she sat down and pulled up another screen on the other arm
and wrote down what she heard.
T'Seva: Did you find something, Jalana?
Rajel: We received an automated repeating message from one of the
teams. It's defragged like a Sehlat got its claws on it, but with
the repetition different parts of the same message are
decipherable.
T'Seva: That's brilliant. Repeating it so that we can get it all.
We should find out who did that and give them a commendation.
The Trill nodded. She should have thought of that when they sent
their message back to the planet but hadn't. If she identified
that voice correctly it was Leran.
Rajel: So far I put together a part of a coordinate, waiting for
another repetition to put it together. They also have geothermal
heat, some lifeform with lightning rod ..something, bad weather
and something about a beach. To get all this I had to listen to it
four times.
T'Seva: But you got it. Lifeform with lightning rod? I hadn't
expected sophisticated life down there, but it does tend to find a
way.
Rajel: Yes, hope with the signal enhancers we can get something
better back to them. Check with T'Aven. Once I have the full
coordinate we may have something to aim our signal at.
T'Seva: =/\= Bridge to T'Aven. How are things going with those
enhancers?=/\=
T'Aven: =/\= Enhancers are located and en route to the torpedo
launchers. =/\=
As if the hover cart was a paid actor there was a rattle in the
background, when the enhancers clanked against each other. Jalana
continued to listen to the repeating message to fill in the gaps
in the message. Maybe one or two more runs for the full
coordinates.
T'Seva: Response
T'Aven: =/\= Enhancers are fed into the launcher now, Sir. =/\=
T'Seva: Response
T'Aven: =/\= Aye, I am programming the first enhancer's position
to a third of standard orbit. ::Her fingers moved over the display
next to the torpedo tube.:: 11,666 kilometers. ::A pause::
Enhancer active, final position programed ready for release, Sir.
=/\=
T'Seva: Response
Jalana leaned back listening to the two, her eyes on her PADD's
notes, hoping it would work. She focused back on the message and
grinned to herself before getting up and heading to T'Seva.
Rajel: I got it.
T'Seva: Response
T'Aven: =/\= Loading the second enhancer, programming the distance
to 23.332 kilometers. Waiting for your input. =/\=
This would mean that with the enhancer of the planet the one she
programmed right now would be smack in the middle and pass on the
signal through it. Hopefully.
Jalana placed the PADD in front of T'Seva.
Rajel: Coordinates of the team and most likely their enhancer.
::She tapped the screen to zoom in on the text N36°14’ by W16°7’

T'Seva: Response
