(( Corridors ))
Sherana, just like other Security Officers, had been patrolling
the ship. They never knew when those attackers would decide to
board the ship. So they had to be alert and kept on their toes.
One thing that Sherana did not understand was the relaxed posture
of her Starfleet Colleagues. She knew they took it serious and
that they were ready but how could the react in a split second if
they were so casual in their posture and walk?
The question did not really get answered, but instead they
received the call to head to a cargo bay on Deck 4. It was not one
of the designated Civilian areas to hunker down and wait things
out. And that was the point. The bridge had transported a group of
pirates into the empty cargo bay and since the Brig was in the
detached starboard section they had to be guarded until they could
be transported there.
She was still in her regular 'Arboretum work is waiting' outfit of
a loose wool sweather and bulky military pants with combat boots
and a baseball cap that held her ponytail in the back. So she
looked like she did not belong here as she entered the Cargo Bay
with the Starfleet Officers. Though she would also have looked out
of place in her Klingon Uniform, let's be real. Her eyes wandered
over the group. Five people, a mixed group of men and women.
Members of the Orion Syndicate.
Rifle in her hand she stepped inside, the group of three security
detail standing in a triangle that was reminiscent of a half
circle had they more people, between the pirates and the exit.
They were not here to chat, or to threaten, even though Sherana
would have liked to the later, or even better fight them. But
guard duty was guard duty.
She did notice the looks she got from one of the pirates in the
group. Curiosity and confusion mixed on their face. Sherana
couldn't place the species, but that wouldn't be the first time,
but she didn't appreciate that look.
Sherana: What is it?
Pirate: Why are you on their side? You are clearly Orion.
Sherana: ::growling:: Say that again and I'll forget my orders,
Qa'Hom.
One of the Starfleet Officers cleared his throat and when Sherana
looked over to him he gave her a warning look. She wrinkled her
nose in distaste but relaxed her stance a little, well as much as
she could do something as weird as relaxing.
Pirate: ::whispering to the others:: What is her problem?
Kurin/Fuse/Any: response
