(( Paoike Colony - Drever IV ))
Yirah: Ellie, before you go, could I offer you some snacks?
Park: response
Evria: I can also get some soil samples...
Savok: Response
Ba'el: Hopefully, I will get a chance to start meeting with more of the colonists to see how they are holding up under the current circumstances.
Yirah: And Ellie, please make sure that no one from the crew eats or drinks anything sourced on the planet.
Park/Savok: Response
Evria started to head towards the field, then stepped on something soft. Abruptly she was choking and sneezing!
Ba'el: ::turns to look at Evria:: Are you alright?
Savok: Response
Evria: ...I'm...achoo...fine...achoo...I...achoo...think.
Evria: And...achoo...a fool...achoo...Ba'el...achoo...space in the club?
Ba'el: ::Chuckled and shakes her head:: Of course there is. You can be the club treasurer.
Yirah: Are you sure you are ok?
He got a bit closer looking for signs that it was an allergic reaction.
Savok: Response
Evria: Apparently this planet has puffballs. We should probably take a sample of...achoo...those too.
Ba'el: ::Waving her hands around to try and keep the pollen at bay:: I think I'll leave that to your capable hands.
Reaching into his bag, Indrid pulled out a small tube to place a sample of the puffball in.
Savok: Response
Yirah: I'm not getting any signs of illness in these particular plants.
While Yirah did that, Evria was carefully bagging and tagging the puffball. Just in case. There seemed, looking around, to be plenty.
Evria: Interesting.
Ba'el/Savok: Response
Yirah: Maybe the plant resistant to it?
Evria: :: sealing the sample bag :: Let me store this then...
She unhooked another piece of equipment from her belt, something more basic than the tricorder. A camera.
Then she started to take pictures. It remained the fastest way to "collect" species for later identification.
Evria: One plant can convey resistance to another, if there is resistance. They communicate in ways we still don't fully understand.
Ba'el/Savok: Response
Yirah: Perhaps it's time we ought to split up. We'll cover more ground faster that way.
Ba'el/Savok: Response
Evria: We can do that.
She glanced up at the sky.
Evria: But...
She pointed at the gathering clouds.
Ba'el/Savok: Response
Evria: I don't like the look of that. Where's the nearest place we can seek shelter.
Ba'el/Savok: Response
