((Bridge - Fenix Ignus - Rigar Nebula))
He had just received order to clean up the incoming transmission
and had tried to start the work when he noticed something.
Ta'an: N'Bel.. look.
Ta'an frowned when they saw something and brought it up on the
screen. In the top middle of the saucer section of the massive
ship a wide rectangle hole opened up while they were watching.
Inside they could see a number of smaller vessels.
Ta'an: ::His eyes grew wide:: They have reinforcements on their
ship!
N'Bel: Identify those craft if we can!
Ta'an: I'm registering an energy surge, they are raising shields
or weapons.
N'Bel: So be it! Ta'an, targeting at your discretion. Disable
their systems if you can.
That was all they needed to hear, the weapons had been on stand by
and now they tried to target. But they were too far.
Ta'an: Helm bring us closer.
The pilot moved the ship through the nebula at a faster speed
approaching the large ship. Ta'an knew it was a large ship, much
bigger than them. But that didn't mean they would hide in the
nebula like a tikana*. They'd fight for their findings, their
future.
((OOC: *tikana = A small winged rodent that was scared easily and
hid in trees and small cave at the smallest sound ))
As soon as they were close enough to the large ship to lock on
with their weapons, Ta'an ran another scan over its massive hull
and targeted what looked like what could be a sensor array on the
backside of the ship. The shot hit and Ta'an smiled grimly. Other
shots hit parts of the hull and if they didn't imagine it one of
those arrow head little ships was at least grazed by the beam.
N'bel: Ta'an, see if you can damage that launching bay! I don't
want us to get overwhelmed like a K'thka being swarmed by D'rdir.
Ta'an: With pleasure.
They needn't be told twice. Changing the target they aimed at the
open hole in the back of the ship. The energey weapon discarge
went right into the hole hitting something on the inside which
exploded in a bright light, before more explosions joined, a chain
reaction. They grinned realizing they had hit something vital or
at least something that went boom and took the whole hangar with
it. The ship started to move but it was slow, sluggish. They
noticed that there had not been anything to stop that discharge
either, no shields. It was impossible that their first blast had
knocked those out, right? Some energy discharges came the way of
the Fenix, however nothing hit, not even close.
She continued to fire a few more times until N'bel spoke up
again.
N'bel: Hold fire Ta'an. Let's see if they are more communicative
now.
The Zinara nodded and stopped firing, their eyes dropping to the
console, checking for any communication. But if there was any it
wasn't aimed at them.
Ta'an: Nothing so far.
N'Bel: Response
Ta'an: No. I noticed it too. Their shields were non existent, they
moved slow and what they fired, missed us by far.
N'Bel: Response
Ta'an: I believe, that either they missed on purpose, or they were
unable to lock onto us.
N'Bel: Response
The console before them beeped and they furrowed their brows.
Ta'an: We receive a transmission.. it's garbled. ::Their brows
raise:: It's short.. and repeated. We may be able to decipher it
by running the matrix over it as it repeats.
N'Bel: Response
