(( Captain's Office )) Sitting comfortably on her beanbag chair, Jalana's gaze was fixed on the screen, where an Aurelian Admiral looked down at her with their golden ears peeking at her over the curve of a magnificent beak. Though the colourful feathers were what was really distracting, because of their stunning pattern, and Jalana had to remind herself to listen many times. Rajel: And this colony is a Starfleet installation? Treen-Cti: It is not. It is a private operation, but Starfleet operates in the sector which means we have an eye on it. And the Scientist who was sent for the first assessment is Starfleet so naturally asked us for help. Jalana nodded slightly and cleared her throat. Rajel: I'll go through the file and get right on it, Admiral. Treen-Cti: Without a doubt. As always if you need anything, call someone else. Jalana grinned at the familiar phrase. She knew that Treen-Cti didn't mean it, it was kind of their thing. Rajel: Mhm I'll throw all the complications at Heraan. He'll love to fill his trash bin with it. Treen-Cti: ::cawing:: That's what I'm talking about. Talk you you soon, Commodore. Jalana nodded with a smile. Rajel: Say hi to Cecily from me. ::His secretary always enjoyed a little gossip with Jalana, but not this time, this was about work.:: Until next time, Admiral. The Aurelian fluffed his head feathers and closed the line. The screen went back and briefly after the familiar Starfleet logo rotated in the centre. Jalana transferred the data onto her PADD and opened the file, but then got up and moved to the door to peek into the bridge. . Rajel: Akeelah, recall all crew and make your way to the Drever system as soon as everyone is on board. D'Sena: Understood Sir. Do you wish to schedule a briefing? Jalana knew that Akeelah had been First Officer, she had served under her after all, so it was not surprising that she knew what the next steps would be. Rajel: Right you are. When is arrival time? There was a brief moment, for the Rodulan to check. D'Sena: Three hours and forty two minutes after departure. Jalana looked to the chronometer on her office wall by leaning back and then peeked out onto the bridge again. Rajel: Send first priority messages to the Senior Officers for a briefing at 1600 board time. D'Sena: Understood Sir. Jalana grinned at her and nodded before heading back inside. The glass door closed with a swooshing sound. With a quick trip to the replicator she got herself a Boulan Berry smoothie and plopped down on an ottoman, putting up her legs to relax. Rajel: Now let's have a look. (( Observation Lounge - 1600 Board Time )) Jalana had not expected it any other way. When the crew was recalled things happened really quickly. Starfleet knew what to do and what it meant. Vacation was over, back to work. So the officers and civilians were back on board and the Constitution was now on route for Drever. The Trill sat relaxed in her seat at the end of the table, having another smoothie with berries from home and waited until everyone was here and seated. Anyone: response When it was time she took a last sip through the straw and placed the cup down. Rajel: Thank you all for your quick return. As you may have guessed, we have our new mission orders. These bring us to Drever IV which we are en route to already. Anyone: response Rajel: Admiral Treen-Cti informed me that the Paoike Conoly on Drever IV is in a pickle. Less than ten years ago the colony was founded by Adirim Bolen. Things went well until recently. Without any change to care, environment and such their crops have begun to get sick and die which limits their food supplies. That is particularly bad because the farms are what keeps them fed. Anyone: response Rajel: This is just the beginning, as you can imagine. Once the crops get sick the livestock can't be fed, which will take away that food supply as well. So they asked for a specialist to check on the issue and that specialist has asked Starfleet for support. That is us. Anyone: response Rajel: The orders include that while we are there to have a look at the infrastructure and general state of the colony, but our main focus will be the issues at hand. Anyone: response Rajel: Ah right I forgot. The specialist has determined that the issue is localized to this village and its vicinity, it also is not bacterial or a virus. So we can exclude a planet wide pandemic, which is good news. Everything else we have to check at location. Since it is a private endeavour we are not sure how reliable the reports are. Anyone: response Rajel: Are there questions before I come to tasks? Anyone: response
