((OOC: Takes place after the other ballroom scene Indrid is in.))
((Holodeck 2 - USS Constitution-B))
Indrid had decided to talk to Diz'mim. He figured with becoming Second Officer he'd be seeing a lot more of the man so he wanted to get to know him better. Somehow they had ended up back on the subject of the Nightshade probably due to the uniqueness of the area. He idly swirled his drink in one hand, watching the vortex that formed.
Yirah: I know that the Linarans have an energy problem on their planet. Not being able to harness energy from the sun must be quite the challenge.
Ch'Nilmani: response
Yirah: On a planet like that I think that the ecosystem would use geothermal energy.
Noticing Ba’el approaching he turned so that his back was against the bar, putting most of his weight on his heels, resting his elbows and forearms on the bar leaving his wrists and hands hanging over the edge like little T. Rex arms.
Ba'el: Nice to see you both enjoying yourselves
Yirah: Ba’el! It’s good to see you Lieutenant. Congratulations on the promotion!
Technically Lieutenant JGs could be called Lieutenant as well, but becoming a full Lieutenant was an accomplishment that Indrid wanted to acknowledge.
Ch'Nilmani: Respond
Ba'el: So, which of you is brave enough to accept the challenge of dancing with a Klingon?
Indrid’s eyes widened slightly and he glanced at Diz’mim. Not that he was scared of dancing, but the way Ba’el phrased it made it sound daunting.
Ch'Nilmani: Respond
Ba'el: Well? Who shall it be?
Ch'Nilmani: Respond
Yirah: I… I could.
Ba’el seemed incredibly happy with that. Indrid shifted his weight off of his heels, pushing himself away from the bar and setting his glass down.
Ba'el: Excellent. ::Holds out her hand:: Shall we?
Yirah: Indeed. ::Takes her hand::
Ba'el/Ch'Nilmani: response
Indrid gazed at her dress. The skirt was very poofy and he hoped that he wouldn’t trip on it.
Yirah: You look lovely tonight Ba’el.
Ba'el/Ch'Nilmani: response
Yirah: So, what sort of dance do you want to do?
Ba'el/Ch'Nilmani: response
