( Rogue planet - Northern hemisphere )

((Runabout Interior, forward compartment))

It seemed that the Starfleet officers and the Kamerians would end up in good terms and maybe they can even be of help so like some plants, they'll bend to the wind that blows in order to withstand it and not brake under it.

Kol’Mana: The last creature-people our kind meet called themselves Pak-Leds. They were arrogant.

Utan: Not to mention bad at explaining themselves.

Perax: I’ve never met the Pakleds, but what I’ve heard about them isn’t flattering.

Yirah/Lystra: response

Kol’Mana: We are not unused to space, but for many years we keep to ourselves. Space is big. It is not hard to avoid others if you try.

Utan: Also, venturing into the open, the unknown, is risky as it could lead dangers to your own land.

Perax: I think the Ferengi have a rule about risk.

Yirah/Lystra: response

Utan wondered who those Feregi were, but it wasn't something it'll take the dream out of hir.

Rajel: =/\= Constitution to Away Teams. We will be sending medical and Science teams to the surface to help the Kameryans with some plant based medical research. You are welcome to volunteer and remain to join the efforts. If you are not, as soon as you are able, please return to the Constitution. If you are injured, please make sure to return for treatment first. Rajel out. =/\=

Perax: Hey! That was a clear transmission! :: he paused, considering the message a moment:: If staying is optional, I think I would prefer to return to the Constitution.

Lystra: I don’t blame you. I’d rather get back to the ship too, but I’m already here and as long as there’s people here they’ll need protectors watching over them.

Kol’Mana: I protect. That is my sworn duty.

Yirah: response

Utan: I’m sure it’s taken care of, but we should call the Fenix ignus to confirm and then we could share more about our reasons to be here.

   She looked towards Utan.

Kol’Mana: We should. And make sure nothing bad has happened to Avoo’na and Jin’Tauri.

Utan wasn't foreign to Kol’Mana's proud relationship with Avoo’na and as part of their people, Ze was also worried for them, but hoping that these transmissions were sign that they're alright.

Perax: I’d definitely still be interested in hearing how you came to be here.

Lystra: Do whatever you need to to feel safe with us. ::to Utan:: I’d do the same.

Yirah: response

Utan: Since it seems to have been explained, we're exploring and hwile doing so, we found a plant here that will be helpful in our planet. We couldn't leave without exploring all it can do for us.

Kol’Mana: You are correct. You do what you need to do and I keep you safe.  This is the way of things.

Perax: Does anyone know what happened to that bird? You know, the one with eyestocks?

Lystra: Uh….found it. I guess it likes our rations.

Kol’Mana: Sorinca. That is the name of it.

For a moment Utan looked at Kol'Mana and was gald that she's learning nature things so well.

Yirah/Perax: response

Lystra: Well, too late now. We can’t risk opening the ramp in this storm. I guess we have another guest. I don’t suppose either of you two know what these birds like to eat normally?

Kol’Mana: Hard plant matter, root matter, high nutrient density, and carcasses.  It does not hunt well, it scavenges.

Utan: It's not a threat to big creatures like us, if that's what you're worried about.

Yirah/Perax: response

Lystra: Well, as long as it’s docile I don’t see a reason for concern. A good opportunity to study it up close I guess. We’ve got the time.

   Kol'Mana chuckled at them.

Kol’Mana: It can eat seven times its body weight in a cycle. You are doomed, t’gon.  Now it will never leave you and it will eat everything you have.

Utan: With the outer conditions, I don't believe it'll be interesting in eating right now. Primary instincts call for shelter. I guess it's seen us getting in and felt it was somewhere safe.

Yirah/Perax: response

The storm suddenly changed tone and subsided in a matter of moments. It seemed that the worse of it has passed.

Kol’Mana: Come, Utan, we must check with the others and gather ourselves.

Utan: Right. We'll check with our people and meet you here when your medical and science come down.

And with that they parted ways with these people, at least for the moment and thought that despite the distrust, they've built bridges to talk and remain in good terms. Perhaps they could coexist and not become strangers or a threat for each one in the near future. If they can help them with the plantation, they'll prove worthy of their trust.

( OOC: End of scence to get into shore leave )
