((Thoth's Farm - Paoike Colony, Drever IV))

Thoth: You are welcome to stay here to wait out the storm.

Sherana scoffed slightly.

Sherana: I'm not scared of a bit of wind and rain. If you need assistance to tie down your things... ::She had decided that was what the tarp and rope were for:: ... I will assist.

Sh'Prelleon: And I will assist in herding the walking trees to the shelter. You may be more experienced with them, but it cannot hurt to have two pair of eyes on them to make sure they all arrive safely.

Thoth: response

The women nodded and Sherana moved over to him to grab the ropes and some tarp.

Sherana: I lived in a vISovbe' region during the Academy training. Tying down equipment was part of daily life.

((OOC: vISovbe' = Monsoon ))

Zylandra: That leaves us to take care of your friends. Tell me what to do.

As much as Zy hated when someone told her what to do, in this case it was necessary because Thoth was the expert with these creatures she had never even heard of before.

Thoth: Despite their size, walking trees are very pushable animals. You can usually just push them in the direction that you want them to go.

Zylandra looked up at the creatures, large and in a way elegant. She was fascinated with them and they were docile, allowing them to simply push them? She was completely fascinated. She watched as Thoth walkd up to one the large creatures and he gently pushed towards the designated shelter, and then moved behind and pushed some more.

Sh'Prelleon: Looks easy enough.

She mimicked his actions by moving up to the creatures. It seemed to reach out to her, and a small smile fell onto her face, a rare ocassion. She turned the large walking tree towards the shelter and then moved behind to push.

Thoth: Careful not to press too hard. You wouldn't want to hurt their legs.

She eased her touch a little, not to push too hard just as he had said. Despite having seen it with Thoth, she was in awe when the creature followed the push and began to move toards the shelter. Her eyes were forward to the shelter, her antennae though moved upwards, along the creature, taking in impressions.

Sh'Prelleon: That's it, well done. ::She praised the creature::

After the walking tree was in the shelter Zy headed back towards the pen. Her eyes briefly moved to Sherana who was busy towing down everything, quite effectively too and then noticed that Thoth was picking up a very small walking tree. An infant? Maybe even a baby.

Sh'Prelleon: Can't it walk? Is it hurt?

Thoth: Because it's younger the legs are more delicate. I wouldn't want to be pushing it around. Picking them up is much safer for them.

Sh'Prelleon: Ah, understandable. The younglings need a bit more help.

She understood that well having seen her share of young animals. She took care of another of the walking trees when she felt something cold on her antennae. They flicked upwards, the dark cover above them rolling close, very close and the wind picked up a bit.

Sh'Prelleon: It's starting to rain, we should hurry.

Thoth: response

The Andorian nodded to the Klingon and continued to herd the rest of the walking trees towards the shelter. If they were in there the rest would be fine. It took a few minutes but then the walking trees were taken care of. The rain had picked up by that time and then... the sound changed. She stood in the shelter and looked up, heavy pounding on the roof above her.

Sh'Prelleon: What...

Thoth: response

Angry yells sounded from outside. Klingon if she wasn't wrong. Though she didn't understand it through the noise of the pounding. She looked to Thoth with a questioning gaze and then moved to the door to head back outside. Out there was the most amusing sight - at least to her.

Sherana stood in the middle of the pounding hail, every now and then one of the golfball sized balls of frozen water his her on the head, the back, the arm... the arm that held a Mek'leth in its hand and she yelled Klingon profanities at the hail that dared to hit her, looking as if she was ready to cut them into cubes. Zy's antennae twitched slightly and the corner of her mouth twitched in amusement.

Sherana: Baktag! ::Slash, pound:: K'pekt! Fight me like a warrior!

((OOC Not translating them but you can imagine they are insults :) ))

Thoth: response

A deafening thunder suddenly split the skies, lightning was right with it crashing down somewhere in the forest. Another deafening sound filled the air, a roar. The same roar that had come from the forest before. Zylandra's eyes widened when it felt like the ground was shaking. What was that?

THUD THUD THUD

In heavy and faster thuds whatever it was in the forest came ... closer.

Another angry rumble of thunder, cracking the lightning a moment later, mixed with the pounding sound of hail coming down on them. Zylandra raised her arm above her head

Sh'Prelleon: We need to get inside! ::She called over to Thoth.

Thoth: response

THUD THUD THUD ROAAAAAR

And then it broke through the trees. The size of an elephant, but covered in fur, clearly in a panic as it rushed out from the forest, and straight towards Sherana, clearly without seeing her. The Klingon raised Orion was distracted by the hail that still dared to attack her but when the thuds came closer she turned around and much to Zy's surprise her face lit up. There was no smile but she could see the fire of battle shining from her eyes to where she stood. If that wasn't the worst idea that woman had ever had, Zy didn't know.

Sh'Prelleon: SHERANA!

Thoth: response

((OOC I have no problem with Sherana being run over by the creature as long as she survives of course :) So feel free to do whatever you like :) ))
