((Runabout Little Crow))

Maramox: Of course. We should attempt the EVA suits and get better readings outside. The runabout was struggling during the landing.

With the landing, Maramox stood up so quickly they felt a rush towards their head. They stood strong and let the feeling pass as they watched Yirah jump up just as quickly.

Much more chipper than them.

Yirah: Alrighty team! Let's make Starfleet history, and collect some great data on this planet!

Maramox started to follow but…

Lystra: response

Perax: I’ll be right behind you. ::he breathed deeply with his eyes closed for a few minutes before he rose from his chair.:: Right behind you.

Maramox stayed to watch Perax and made sure that he stood on his own. They hoped he felt cared for and not like Maramox was strange. Which wouldn’t make sense; they’re a doctor. Caring for a patient.

Lystra: Response

The EVA suits weren’t the most comfortable but; they felt safe. Walking out to the planet was  – exciting. That’s the only words Maramox had to express their feelings as they took steps behind Perax. The lightning storm screamed above them and fog threatened to grab their ankles.

Signs of life forced Maramox to focus on staying close to their group. The plants felt similar to some used in older forms of medication. They wondered about it until one of the geysers blasted, pulling them back in time to hear Yirah speak.

He pointed excitedly.

Yirah: Look! Those bands on the soil there might be a sign of thermophiles.

Maramox: The plants help to show it too. Life all around!

Lystra: response

Perax: =/\= Perax to Constitution, I’m testing the signal enhancer, do you receive? =/\=

Lystra: response

Maramox watched Perax for a bit longer, making sure the medication was working as intended. He seemed to be doing better now that they’ve been walking around.

Yirah: Oh Right! Uh... Maramox, see if you can get some better atmospheric readings. I'll start collecting soil samples.

Maramox nodded towards Yirah; they felt like they were fighting the EVA suit as they started to check the atmospheric readings. Hoping they could get out of the suit immediately; not out of actual discomfort but out of the inconvenience.

Lystra: response

Perax: Guys, the nacelle is still good, but I’ll need to replicate a couple replacement plates for the hull armour.

Yirah: Go ahead and replicate whatever you need for the repairs.

Lystra: Response

Maramox stared at the readings. They’re certain they’re missing some conversation between their crew. The atmosphere readings just aren’t making sense to them. Dipping and jumping back up. They can’t be sure that anyone could breathe; let alone not get poisoned immediately.

Perax: =/\= Perax to Constitution, can you hear me? =/\= I can’t reach the ship yet. The signal is getting reflected back to the planet.

Yirah: Hmm... could we at least get into contact with the other away team? I know that we were able to onboard the ship but we were still relatively close at that point since they followed us through the storm.

Maramox: It would be nice to see if they are getting similar… Readings. oO Or rather, lack there-of Oo

Lystra/Perax: Response

Yirah: I don't know. This planet does have a powerful magnetic field though.

Lystra/Perax: Response

Maramox: Why don’t we look around our area a little further. Maybe there’ll be a spot that will let us reach their comms.

Maramox hoped this worked. They were never good with the communications classes; it was their weakest subject at the academy. They passed, but.
Yirah/Lystra/Perax: Response

Maramox: Right, we should stay together. The plant life doesn’t seem to move; but we haven’t seen any signs of animal life. If there is. Animal life. That is.

Yirah/Lystra/Perax: Response
