S’jenes: ::Tapped his combadge:: =/\= S’jenes here =/\=
Anyone: =/\=Respond=/\=
S'Jenes: If they are observing the same pattern elsewhere aboard the ship, that would support the hypothesis of a shipwide phenomenon.
Ba'el: ::Considers the new information:: How quickly could we put this into practical use?
T'Seva: Fairly quickly.
Anyone: =/\=Respond=/\=
S'Jenes: If enough data points are collected, prediction becomes possible. Once prediction becomes possible, synchronization becomes possible.
Ba'el met his eyes when S'Jenes glanced up to her.
S'Jenes: And synchronization may be the first step toward reintegration.
Ba'el: Well, sounds like we have a plan. What's out next step?
T'Seva: Collect the data points, ideally with the help of others.
Anyone: =/\=Respond=/\=
Ba'el: T'Seva ::glances towards her:: How are you coming along with the morse code?
T'Seva: I've worked out a message to send so our friend has warning about what we're going to try. This is, of course, assuming she can hear us.
Alas, it might not go both ways. But it was worth a try.
S'Jenes: Good, that sounds promising.
Ba'el: Can we start here, or do we need to relocate?
S'Jenes: I would expect here because the phase shifted crew knows we're here at this spot.
Ba'el: Do we need to draw some more equipment from the Aleek-Om?
S'Jenes: For the purposes of our contact...we may only need three more tricorders. The concept is: We run them in a staggered series. Since tricorders have an emitter, a sensor, and an analyzer... a single tricorder should be capable of generating both the dampening field and the synchronized electromagnetic signal, provided the output is properly sequenced.
Ba'el: Respond.
S'Jenes: =/\=Ensign S'jenes to Felbri on Aleek-Om, Please transport three tricorders to my coordinates, we may be on to something =/\=
Ba'el:Respond
T'Seva: So, what's the details?
S'Jenes: We would each have a tricorder, each tricorder would be set to discharge the electromagnetic waves needed for synchronization. Each one would also reroute the sensor to avoid telerons, making the dampening field and waves come from a single device. If staggered, I use mine for 30 seconds, then before overload, you use yours, then T'Seva... all in a looping formation, we may be able to maintain a decent two to three minute window of communication.
T'Seva: I will send the morse code while you set them up.
The three tricorders appeared and S'Jenes got to work.
T'Seva stepped a bit away from the others so her tapping would be less annoying and distracting to S'Jenes.
T'Seva: << Trying again to bring you into phase. >>
S'jenes: Tricorders are set. Ready for the staggered attempt whenever you are.
Ba'el: Respond
T'Seva: Ready.
