{After leaving the party}
With the words of Jalana still ringing in her ears, Shedet had
decided to retire to her room for a little bit. She honestly did
not plan that just her feet had taken her towards the transporter
and then aboard the Constitution-B. It was as she was nearing her
room when she heard a voice.
Lystra: Shedet!
Starting and looking behind her, it was a face she had been hoping
NOT to see for quite some time.
Shedet: oO Oh Frak. What goddess did I piss off this time? Oo Get
off on the wrong deck?
Screw the fact she was an officer. Though Jalana had made her
reconsider leaving, she had not yet quite made up her mind to
stay.
Lystra: You and I need to have a talk. ::She said curtly:: In
private. Please.
Private. Sure. Shedet walked to her room and stood in her doorway.
This was as private as she was going to get.
Shedet: ::glaring:: So? What?
Lystra: Because I have some things to get off my chest. ::She
explained:: I don’t like you.
The laugh that came out of Shedet's mouth was very sarcastic.
Shedet: You're stating the obvious there, L-T.
Lystra: You’re good at your job. That’s got nothing to do with it.
::She shook her head:: It’s because you were with the Syndicate
and there are no decent people in the Syndicate.
Shedet: Bold assumption there.
She was done being pushed around. By anyone Boslic, Gorn or
otherwise. Shedet folded her arms across her chest glaring at her.
Lystra: I know firsthand what kind of monsters the Syndicate are.
Honor-less cowards who prey on the helpless just to turn a profit.
They take from others instead of putting something good in the
universe.
Shedet: Since we're being candid with each other then, for being
an officer is Starfleet, your lack of intelligence is stunning.
Lystra: response
Shedet: ::motioning wide with her hands:: You make this great
assumption that everyone is the same while pretending Starfleet
diversity means something to you. You've hated on me without
knowing who I was, just assumed my background thanks to my prior
membership. I've known good, honorable men and women who would
make Starfleet pale in their light. You're desire to shove us all
in one box tells me a lot about your character and honestly, I'm
glad we never got along.

Shedet: Honestly, It might not matter in the end. I'm considering
returning to my people as I'd rather serve with them than you.
Lystra: response
