(( USS Constitution-B – Engineering ))
The main objective at this point was to manage to get sensors picking up reliable information, however, he had a moment to get interested in Jalana's well being with her new implant.
Shimisi: I hope so. :: He rested his back on the console looking at the captain who seemed to be good with the way things were progressing on their side. :: How are you doing, by the way?
Rajel: I'm doing alright. Still getting used to the new way of seeing things, but it is heaps better than with one eye.
Shimisi: Any problem with it? Any loose of focus or disruption on the interface?
Rajel:
No, I just have to get used to the triggers of the eye to move to
different views. I sometimes accidentally change it.
::chuckling::
Shimisi: That was to be expected. Like any other cybernetic implant, it requires time to get used to the interface and how to operate it. Do you need me to do any adjustment?
Rajel: :waves her hand:: No I'll get used to it. There is always something when you start out with something new.
Shimisi: True. Since you're a doctor, you know how this evolves and improves with use. So, that's all? The rest is fine?
Rajel: Other than that it works really great. Thanks to the mix of biological tissue and tech it doesn't feel like a foreign body in my eye socket either.
Shimisi: Doctor Foster really improved my basic design. His idea of combining them and how to merge them and avoid the loose of signal in the transition from the technological component to the biological really opened a new door for me to study other projects I had in mind. :: he realized that he's rambling and composed himself :: But that's something for another time.
Rajel: Back to now. Would it help to send scanner enhancers into the nebula to extend the range?
Shimisi: How do you want to send the enhancers? I mean, just launching them seems too random and with little control.
Rajel: Response
Shimisi: At times like this,... old tech could be better than modern. If we had a physical way to transmit the information from the enhancers, we'll have less degradation and interference... :: sighing :: I guess it'll be a matter of continue working on overcoming the interference along science.
Rajel: Response
Shimisi: I'll see to it!
Rajel: Response
